It`s already at 5 million according to VGcharts, maybe 500k~1 million more as digital sales, and it`s keeping it`s legs. Do you think it has a shot at 10 million or more? I think it will, since we still have to wait for discounts, re-releases will all DLC on disc and a likely PC release late 2017 or sometime 2018.

And it`s selling well on Xbox One, 800k units is nothing to be ashamed of, mainly for a game that isn`t the core audience of the platform.

I think it has potential to still hit 10million including digital sales.

Personally I hope it does dethrone FFVII as the most selling in the series. Nothing wrong with FFVII but it's time for a new king. And I also feel that if FFVII doesn't get dethrone then Square will just keep revolving around FFVII and Cloud's character (ie merchandise etc..)

I dunno, the legs are gone now (if you called that legs) i think it will end up around 8 million personally.

Doubt it'll break the top three of VII, X and VIII, but it has a chance of beating FF XIII.

I get what you are saying but in my opinion XV certainly doesn't deserve to dethrone VII. I hope this was the build-up for XVI to take that throne. Better get used to that VII stuff though, it's gonna be around for a long long time to come considering SE's development speed... ;)

I think it may depend on how far SE takes some of the changes they're supposedly implementing post-launch. If they really go far to address a lot of the commonly cited problems it could certainly attract more players, but that's always hard to predict.

At the very least, these sales show that the series still has relevance and room to grow, which I'm sure SE is happy with.

No, of course it won't.

It would ne lucky to do 2 more millions, but i find it very unlikely.

FF is not as big as it was during the PSone era.

Oh gosh if FFVII never gets dethrone I can see Square milking FFVII even way after I'm dead xD

I hope not. Otherwise, they might continue in this same direction for the future. They probably will, anyway, though. I just have to accept that Final Fantasy is no longer for me.

C'mon. Every Final Fantasy is different. Don't have this pessimistic approach to the franchise even if you haven't liked these entries.
