OK, I give up. I can't read some of these posts without responding to them.

Germany was still economy troubled during World War II, and they ended WWII in ruins and destroyed. I also don't know which country you're referring to with the second one, but I assume you mean Russia, but they were far from the most powerful nation and collapsed from World War I, months before the Bolsheviks even took over.

It's not about fascism or communism. It's about the people in charge.

Extremed are always bad. No point in comparing them.

What the greatest and most successful civilizations in history have in common isn't some form of ideology. It's freedom. Freedom of thought, freedom of speech, freedom of religion. Constantinople was once the most important and wealthy city in the world. In a time where it had a lot of freedom, countless milestones in scientific research emerged. It all went downhill when some assholes decided to force islam onto the people. Just a few centuries later europe discovered secularism for themselves, told christians to leave the governments alone and went on to become the most advanced and rich continent in the world.

The US are where they are today because of freedom. That drew in some of the greatest minds of all time like Albert Einstein from which the country profited heavily. You can bet your ass Einstein wouldn't have fled to the US if it had been some fascist or communist country.

If you want a country to last long, you need discussions, you need compromises and you need freedom. Cultures can only evolve when they are in contact with other cultures. If you can't give your people freedom, sooner or later your realm will burn to the ground. Either because the people themselves get sick of extremism or because of some stupid war. History repeats itself, we can learn from that. Sadly, many people refuse to do so.

You can't even compare the two. If you'd say Stalinism vs. Fascism, I'd understand. But this is just illogical.

More people have died under capitalist regimes than the Soviet-style regimes, but for some reason every death in the former is a result of something else while in the latter it's always because of communism.

And reduced Germany to rubble, even today when you go to their major cities most of their historical areas aren't really historical because the country was bombed back to the stone age. 

Fascist states basically collapse after a few years because they can't stop themselves from picking a fight. It's like an idiot who gets drunk and thinks he's all hot shit and then runs around a nightclub hitting on every guy's girlfriend, eventually he's going to hit on the wrong girl and get his ass beat by a pissed off boyfriend. It's only a matter of time. 

It wasn't really meant to be logical, I just wanted to see what VGChartz generally thought without trying to influence their thoughts.

Wouldn't human greed actually be a good argument FOR communism? If people are always greedy and will abuse power, then it makes sense to have a system where nobody has control over another, instead of one where a few people rule and rig the system in their favour.
