Okay, so I just wanted to see what the general opinion of VGChartz was surrounding these two controversial ideologies. I'm not going to define them as I want people's raw opinions, and I won't state my beliefs in this thread in order to avoid skewing, though some of you may already know what my response would be.

Don't you need fascism to enforce real communism? Don't you mean fascism and socialism?

They seem to lead more or less to the same place. But since communism has a much higher body count and seems more woefully ignorant of human nature, I'll say communism.

Any ideology or political or social construct can lead to bad things for the people involved. That includes democracy, liberalism and socialism.

I prefer fantasy over reality, as in classic Star Trek's idea of communism.

Both words are too loaded to be useful anymore anyway.
I grew up in Europe in the 70's living next to Germany, so naturally fascism was still the biggest bogey.
Growing up in the USA no doubt communist was the biggest swear word.

Better question is Capitalism vs Socialism.

Fascism by far, communism still kind of works on a theoretical level and its principles are way more legitim and fair, communism main fault is to be very naive about economics and human nature, fascism main fault is everything, it's simply unacceptable.

Collectivism

Looks like VGC is full of lousy commies.

Communism is not evil, as an idea.

it's non-functional, since it relies on human motivations that do not exist in sufficient quantity, but Marx's ideal world is in no way a dystopia.

Fascism does not even pretend to strive for the good of all humanity.
