Keep electing socialists.
Keep electing liberals.
Keep electing leftists.

Anapolis' mayor, Goias' governor and senators plus the current Brazillian president are all capitalists/conservators/right-wing politicians.

Brazilian security is mch deeper and complex problem that has its roots on things like the slavery, people's lack of education and inequality of wealth distribution.

Keep having a commodity-based economy.

Keep letting global oil prices drop.

Keep living on the same planet as China.

The reality is people think countries like Mexico and Brazil can function on their own is silly.

They are basketcases and not people of the people but because of their leaders.

Blablabla.

Come live in Brazil.

That's what the psycho left did to my country.

That's what the Democraps were doing in the USA.

There is senseless killing everywhere though. I mean, some places are worse than others, but we have it here is the US too.

With that said, I recommend that you come here. I'm in the Washington, DC area, and there are lots of Brazilians here, doing well. It will definitely be tough to make use of that Brazilian law degree. But, you can take a couple of years or school here and get to work in some decent field. There is a ton of trade between the US and Brazil. Maybe your law degree would be worth something if you can get in a company that does a lot of business with Brazil.

Sorry for our loss...

I went to Anápolis a few month ago it really seems to be a very nice town to live in.

When it comes to violence, Brazil may be better than most of the south american countries, but we still are very far from developed country levels.

Dude, sorry about that. Time to learn some self-defense and ban together with a team of brothers to watch one another's backs.

That wouldn't solve anything, criminals in Brazil have alot of armaments and gangs. Only the authorities could fix the situation, but everything in Brazil is corrupt and out of hand.

Really, the only advice i have is... get out of there. I met a brazillian here in the Nederlands and she was super happy that she left. She said she would never go back because she never felt safe there.

You speak english and you speak portuguese. Emmigration options there. I wouldn't stay there at all.

I never said he never should leave. But as long as he's there, he needs to protect himself until he does get out of there. And there's nothing wrong with staying in groups and looking out for one another's back. That's all I'm saying.

Since the two major parties in the US did a major ideology switch during the civil rights movement of the 60s the Democrats are actually the only major party that somewhat cares about the common man.  The Republicans only care about the 1% and getting richer.  Also all the ideas that benfited the common man in the last 200 years where started by the left.  The Left started Unions, fought for a minium wage, are now fighting for living wages, the abolishment of child labor, overtime pay, 40 hour work week, safe working conditions, equal pay for both sexes, unversal health care etc. etc.

in these cases, I would say it's probably time to own a gun, take shooting lessons. If necessary, maybe the government should put the army on the streets for extra security.
