Sorry but it is a problem.

That doesn't mean i'm not going to buy one, it just means im not going to waste my time trying to use it like I would a normal portable.  It just doesn't meet my needs that way.  I'll strictly use it as a home console.

I don't see how charging it/turning it off while you're working and still playing it on the way to/from work and during break is such an issue?

Do I have to share my lifes details with you people?  It's a problem.  I can't safely charge a device at my work.  Anything I have at work must be on my person or locked up.

Then how is that any different from other portable systems?

So every minute of your free time outside the house is on games? Can't see how a 3-6 hour battery isn't enough.

Not like you'll be playing while driving or using the bathroom (I really hope that isn't the case)

Other modern NINTENDO portables would last the entire time without needing to be recharged.

Every chance I get i'm trying to entertain myself.  Life is so boring otherwise.  So yeah, I _might_ do a 5-10 minute game session on the toilet.

Switch's battery life is not much different to the 3DS; around 3-6 hours.

Not to be a party pooper here but isn't the battery life of the Switch similar to the 3DS and Vita?

Original 3DS: Rated 3-5 hours by Nintendo

PS Vita: Rated 3-5 hours by Sony

Switch: Rated 2.5-6 hours by Nintendo

So what's the difference to the 3DS and Vita? Those felt like "normal" portable consoles to me. Is it the 30m difference on highest setting?

Maybe you'll better wait for a version with a higher capacity battery...

Looking at Switch, it looks like it would fit in my pocket; plus if it didn't I could detach the joycons to make it fit. Most people I know carry a bag or suitcase to work anyway to hold their lunch, work materials, drink bottle, tablet, etc.

No way in hell that is fitting in an average sized person's pocket comfortably.

But I agree that the majority of people don't carry handhelds in their pockets anyway so it's a moot point.
