Forums - Sony Discussion - External Hardrive Support Coming To PS4 In Next Firmware Update

Hell yes!

YEEEEES! I knew this would come.

This is really nice, finally after years :D
I have like 30 Games on PS4 already, almost all digital and the amount of space some Games require is insane, so i can only have like 6-7 big games at once on my PS4 but tbh nobody is playing like 20 games at the same time, but it will still be nice to have them all there at once now.

No thanks, handy for people who want it. Don't want another clutter fest.

Finally. I am looking forward to this.

Better late than never, I was starting to worry about the storage but this make things easier.

Funny how I was actually pointing out that External Hardrives dont work on PS4 because its a Hardware thing

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=224136

I came to the conclusion with the Linux hack, but i wouldnt have thought that the PS4 Pro has different hardware in that regard with a different Sata Bus. But here we are external hardrives only on PS4 Pro

We had three duplicates for this topic, I'll give this one a lock in favour of this one: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=225561&page=1#.

The reason is because there are a similar number of posts in both threads but the OP in that one is a bit nicer. Sorry!
