You mean eating only biscuits is not what you should do? Crap, I've been doing it wrong all these years.

More of a go through phases kind of person. Recently went through a Cottage/Shepherd's Pie phase, was making and eating them more than other food, back on to italian dishes now. I probably don't eat as healthy as I could.

Hmm, pie.

Well.... I think it depends of our daily routine, family needs etc.

As a single who lives alone and still pay rent, I cannot always vary what I eat, because I´m always looking for ways to save money and to reduce as much food waste as possible.

I normally buy some groceries - fruits, vegetables - and prepare carbohidrates on weekends (like rice, beans, pasta, potato). I freeze the cooked carbs in small portions, so when I need a meal, I just have to heat one portion, cut some fruits or vegetables for a salad and cook some protein (chicken, meat, eggs, whatever). So I eat almost the same thing every day except for the protein.

The good thing about it is that not only it makes a lot easier to bring my lunch to my job - instead of spending money on restaurants - but I also do not take much time to prepare my dinner.

I'm a calorie/macro counter so I have a pretty utilitarian diet and find it convenient to eat more or less the same stuff every day unless it's my refeed day.

Constantly changing food. Eating the same thing, like doing the same thing, leads to stagnancy and complacency. I alternate my diet, because it would simply has a better impact overall in effectiveness and fitness. I really love a good bowl of noodles and also strawberries

When I was more obsessed with weightlifting and such, I tended to eat the same thing everyday. Personally, I hated it, and now that I'm more relaxed I try to keep up a decent variety. I'm not obsessed with having something different or trying strange foods every week, but I do like to switch up my schedule quite a bit. Like you, Op, I tend to get bored with food rather quickly, and so I do my best not to eat something so frequently that I start to dislike it.

I vary it from time to time, but recently I have been eating almost the same things.

Variety, man, definitely. I get in food ruts, so shaking things up helps. There aren't too many foods I don't like, except lima beans.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

I like to have it varied, but I do eat pizza very frequently. I like Chinese and Mexican food a lot, and hamburgers and hot dogs are great as well, and there's also many other foods that are great that I can't really think of right now.

I have maybe a dozen favored dishes that I'll cycle through each week. I love my protein. I haven't sworn off any types of food but I do try to avoid high calorie sweets and such now that my metabolism's slowed down. Amerinese is my guilty pleasure.

I try to vary as best I can, but living alone that is tricky.

You can only eat so much food by yourself, so you end up eating the same few items all week until you go through all your perishables, then you go to store and buy a different set of perishables for the next week.
