I was a fan of Splatoon as soon as I tried the first testfire event :D, but yeah some people as just obsessed with power and dont seem to see the whole picture and the full value of Switch. I am also trying to get it near launch, because there is always something nice in owning something new and exiting among the first ones. Without Zelda and Splatoon 2 I might have waited, but they sealed my destiny.

I still am deciding not to buy one at launch, I'll get one after university has ended. Glad you changed your mind, I think even though the switch isn't anything comparable to PS4 and Xbox One, it's going to last a very long time. It has so much potential and it has a clear and concise overall message. I'm hyped for it, but I have to put it to the side to focus.

I have a Vita. I already have the "console experience on the go". I'm excited about console games--AAA console games that I can take anywhere. Even if they're ports of 7th gen titles, I'll be more than happy.
