30 year old retro-game console outselling a brand new console despite only a small difference in price. That and all of Nintendo's games that constantly outsell Sony's games.

Sony is always welcome to make a similar plug and play console with the PS1 or PS2, but I doubt it would sell as well as the NES (especially at the same price point).

Am i seeing  something  different?  Isnt horizon  untop of zelda for a long time  already +uncharted 4 outsold  pretty  much all ninty exclusives.

Its logic sales are more divided  when you have  what?6-8 upcoming  games instead of 1(zelda)

Zelda is sold out on Amazon buddy (and it's still ahead in the yearly ranking). And if "for a long time already" you mean since last week then yes, lol. And no, Uncharted 4 did not outsell Mario Kart 7, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Pokémon X/Y, Pokémon ORAS, Pokémon Sun & Moon, Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Smash Bros. 4.

And Uncharted 4 is Sony's best selling exclusive by far, after that there's a huge drop-off.

The PS5 Exists.

Good Lord, MS going hard this week. Still $50 off plus a free controller and 3 months of live free at Best Buy. Sony seems to have gone back up to $299 at everywhere save for Amazon, I wonder how long that will last.

Just out of curiosity. ..what made you come to that conclusion?  That the Nintendo  Brand is much stronger? Are you basing this just on the NES?

I think you have two very different types of people between PlayStation and Nintendo users, and that is why there would be a disparity. I think there is just as much desire for classic PS1 games as there is for classic NES games, but there is a lot of factors you have to take into account.

1. Right off the bat think PlayStation owners are more apt to want one device that does everything, as opposed to having an additional gimick to have to hook up. Therefore they would rather have all of those PS1 titles available on the PS4 they already own.

2. PS1 games have been playable on every PlayStation device except PS4 and PS4 Pro. Thus poeple have had no shortage of ways to play these games if they desired.

3. PlayStation has a massive amount of new 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party titles releasing constantly, making it much harder to find time to go back and play some classics.

That is so true. Which explains the backlog ordeal.  I feel as though if I jumped to Nintendo I can pick up the Switch right where is at and dive into The latest Zelda.  But if it was the other way around Jumping from Nintendo to PS4 there would be the plethora of games to enjoy but it would be hard to egnore the historic PS3 library and  at a lesser extent PS2 and PS1.

Well one the PS4 is not brand new. Two there was VERY limited stock of the NES so whenever it gets restocked it makes sense that it will shoot up the charts. Three it has to actually  outsell the PS4 not just be higher than the PS4 on Amazon which I am almost certain it never do because Nin wouod never make that many NES systems. So no that does not mean Nin as a brand is stronger than Sony...especially  not right now.

Now as far as the games argument goes you are correct  most Nin games sell better than almost all Sony Exclusives...but then you have to remember Nin systems are primarily  bought only for Nin games(which you can see by sales and 3rd party support) while both Sony and MS are bought for their games plus 3rd party games. So Sony and MS gamers have more options in games which spreads  their sales out more while Nin does not have that luxury....all in my opinion of course.

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

Nintendo also has a virtual console on their consoles you know. You can play NES games on the Wii, 3DS, Wii U and in the future also the Nintendo Switch.

Your third point doesn't make much sense either as the tie ratio of the PS4 isn't much higher than the Wii U. You also don't really know what other consoles NES Mini owners own. They might as well also have a PS4 or X1.

When every single Nintendo system is outsold by Sony's PS4 every year since PS4's release (minus a year for the 3DS?) wouldn't it be unwise to say Nintendo is the stronger brand simply based off Amazon's heavily fluctuated NES standings?

The NES clearly has interest among the gaming community but nothing compared to PS4 or Xbox One or Switch, yearly sales will reflect this quite well. I'm not disagreeing with you that Nintendo is the stronger brand - Nintendo has proven that they can catch the market by storm - but to say Nintendo's brand is stronger based off temporary Amazon ranking's...I mean...there are MUCH better examples out there lol.
