The Eurogamer leak concerning the power of the Switch is on shaky ground because of what we have seen from it so far indicating that it is a beefed up Wii U out of the dock, not a weaker Wii U out of the dock.  If the stats were as they say, Zelda should look and run worse out of the dock than the Wii U in the dock but every single report points in the opposite direction: it runs better and many say it even looks a bit better on the undocked Switch than on the Wii U.

If we assume the Foxconn leak, which accurately predicted to a T many things you would have to be the luckiest man in the history of all existence to guess even half of them right, then it is actually a very marked improvement over the Wii U in the dock and a modest boost to the Wii U out of the dock.

As for all the power talk in relation to the NS. The simple truth is that we don't know. I don't believe any of what I have heard and the truth may end up being somewhere in the middle. But in time we will find out though... in just a few more weeks or so.

Edit: as for the whole home console vs handheld debate, I've said this before but I will repeat myself:  the Switch is somewhere in the middle, but leans more towards home console due to numerous design decisisions that directly and purposefully violate handheld design principles for the sake of bringing in home console features.  In other words, it sacrifices being a good handheld in order to have the feature set to be a console.  It is function, not form factor, that should define things that fall in the middle like this.  And the Switch's functionality points to a hybrid that leans more towards home console than handheld despite having elements of both.

Now all you said here.... I could just as easily say the switch sacrificed being a good home console in order to be a handheld.  this part...

"but leans more towards home console due to numerous design decisisions that directly and purposefully violate handheld design principles for the sake of bringing in home console features."

What design decisions does it sacrifice to be a home console? Or what does it violate as far as handhld design goes? I don't know, but looking at the switch I can't think of a single thing that it sacrificed that prevents it from being a good handheld console but can think of at least 4 things that it sacrificed that prevents it from being a good home console. Like literally everything about how the switchwas designed screams portable. The ONLY thing that makes it a home console is that it comes bundled with  dock and grops for the otherwise portable controller. But indulge me, point out these design decisions they made that makes it violate handheld design.

And pls understand, I have no qualms with it being described as both. I just feel saying both isn't actually what it is, it just can be used as both. But its definately something. As I have said, a laptop isn't suddenly a desktop PC because you can keep it on a desk and plug it to an external monitor.

You can PM me a response... or take this discussion to my own thread on this matter. lets not derail the amazon thread any further.

I wouls much rather not enter said thread.  I can spot a dead end thread from a ways away, no offense.  I've gone over all of this some time ago though so I can lay out the most glaring issues: It's too big, it's battery life is terrible, it has detatchable controllers and no integrated inputs in the system whatsoever, and the design of the Joy-Con are not conducive to portability (full analogue  sticks, zL/zR triggers).  All of those conspire to make it a pretty poor handheld functionally but are integral to or symptomatic of console centric features.

The larger screen is not just important for console gaming but also to allow for splitscreen experience at all times, a purely home console feature that is physically impossible with a true handheld.  And on that note, detatchable controllers are a terrible idea for a handheld as it drastically increases the number of scenarios in which the system can be rendered functionally useless.  However, it is crucial for the Switch so that it can have splitscreen at all times and provide a traditional control meathod on the TV.  Which brings ust to the Joy-Con: their size and design compromise portability so that you can have a more proper controler for TV gaming and gaming on the kickstand.  And the battery life is symptomatic of both the screen and the active cooling system, anotjer horrible design feature for a handheld as it drains battery and increases size but crucial to a home console.  I could go on.

Yes, the Switch could BE a handheld if you welded the Joy-Con to it and lost the dock.  Incidentally Citizen Kane could BE a video game if every scene required you to complete a puzzle before it played.  However, it would be a very bad video game and the Switch would be a very bad handheld.  Which imo is further testiment of why the Switch is a hybrid but more home console than handheld.  If you welded the Switch into the dock, it would be an underpowered but still perfectly fine home console that came with a very unique but still also traditional controler that can be a motion controller set, two separate controllers, or one traditional controller.  Basically, all the design elements still make some sense.  If you forcibly made it just be a handheld...well just look at the Gamegear and the Nomad, two other handhelds that failed to be sufficiently portable and had really bad battery life for the sake of just more power.

Where the hell is Halo Wars II? i mean... it's nowhere to be found in amazon best sellers and it's very close from release, like... 3 days !
I think HW II will have something like 50%, or more, sales coming from digital, cause the numbers of physical copies are looking bad and this thing carries the halo name, this name alone should be enough to sell at least acceptable numbers.

edit: actualy HW 2 is at 93 on february and 61 on hourly... still... very weak numbers...

Well official release is week away. I'm sure it'll move up some.

this is kinda tricky... i mean, ultimate edition plays early, so...
if you go for ultimate edition, then yeah, 3 days away, if you go for normal, than 1 week... anyway, the numbers of physical are looking very weak....

IF the IW bundle improves Sony will have three consoles before even one xbox one. That is pretty impressive.

The next three months aren't really going be that interesting as far as NPD goes. It is going to be Sony, Nintendo, Nintendo easily.

So I'm going to have to wait until June to see the results of May which may not be a Nintendo win. 4 Months is gonna be boring.

It appears that boat has already sailed. There WERE three PS4 bundles above any XB1 bundles when the COD bundle was first introduced, but since then it's slid further down the charts.
