Me neither it was an aside to your European style movies, talking of crackdowns   Should Sony making sure women aren't too realistic be making sure they are more realistic like the Alyx Vances and Aloy's of the gaming world. gaming is no longer if it ever was the domain of testosterone laden teenage boys, and you can have sexy women without them being sexualised, there is room for large breasted women showing off their midriffs and cleavage , it's just that it's become a lazy staple, where you have scenarios that show  a person dressed in not much more than a bikini moving through a freezing winter landscape  while a complaining  about how cold it is.

I want more characters like those mentioned by name but I want the games themselves dictate how they will be portrayed both emotionally as well as physical,rather than some PC correct mandate from above, because you have to be careful that the intent of making it harder for certain games that use titillation as the main selling point doesn't  create a splash across the whole sector, especially when it coming from above without much engagement with those at or near the splash point . gee I rambled on there instead of talking pictures sorry about that.

Honestly nothing wrong with making video game characters beautiful or above the reality, it's escapism and it also helps drive artistic motivation. Devs spend years of their lives with these characters and libido is a powerful force for creativity, ending in a finer and better product all around. Making game character ugly for the sake of it is just plain ridiculous for the consumer and the creators and serves only those who don't buy or play games and instead complain about them on social media who somehow end up as a force in our hobby. 

I think you me and Eric are all in agreement that tits and ass is ok but it has to fit the game and I don't think anyone supports ugly for ugly sake or the opposite normality seems a good middle ground that sees all types.

alyx vance and aloy are by no means ugly but they fit the bill for their particular games, now dead or alive featuring fighting nuns in robes and habits is just not right.

I just don't understand why people are saying A lot is anything less than fucking gorgeous? Maybe she doesn't come along well in pics or some shit but man, my dick was tingling when I played this game, more than once.

I get ya and it makes makes sense. Still, writing off characters in bikinis as non complex could be an issue too when you look at it so perhaps we shouldn't judge on looks at any rate and what's not to say, if after half Life 3 Gordon and Alex ended up in the a tropical island and Alex and he were picking ass, bikinis and all.

Again, I get what ya mean and I'm all for properly outfitted characters and presenting them as reflected in the writing and world and thereis no point making a character that looks good and is shallow but their is nothing to say a character can't be complex, deep and loveable all the while having size F breasts and living the nudist life. Most people would consider Garalt a complex character and he tries to get his shirt off as often as he can, scars and all and in TW3 he is designed to be far better looking than the scoure material should allow. If you're going to define a character by how they are presented before they have a chance to redeem themselves then it's probably q problem that starts with you, would Alex Vance be any lesser of a character if she wore a skimpy outfit and had a pair of fake tits. Nah.
