before we get a ton of people talking about how 4 million paid dowloads is a poor number, i would like to ask how many games have sold over 4 million at $10 on iOS?

We should also ask how many of those games have Mario in them?

not sure what point you're trying to make here.

Oh, you meant how many people have paid. Fair enough

Although it still doesn't explain your previous post stating that 0.05 isn't 5%

Well at first I was thinking that 0.05 of 100 isnt 5%. Then I realized that 0,5 of 100 isnt 5% either. Then I realized that it was 0.05 out of 1. Then I hoped people would forget about it...

Super Mario Run Reaches 78 Million Downloads, 5% Have Paid

After picking up 40 million downloads in its first four days and 50 million after its first week, Nintendo's free-to-play Super Mario Run has now reached 78 million installs worldwide on iOS devices alone.

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima announced this as part of Nintendo's latest earnings report today, according to Bloomberg reporter Yuji Nakamura. Kimishima said more than 5 percent of players paid $10 to unlock all the content, which means the game has brought in at least $39 million in revenue.

Apple's App Store gets a cut, of course, as will Google Play when Super Mario Run comes out for Android in March. Nintendo says Super Mario Run saw a "fantastic response" overall.

Despite the popularity of Super Mario Run, Nintendo has said it has no plans to release any DLC for the game, though plans can always change.

$39m revenue

So less revenue than 1m sales of any console game.

Yeah, Nintendo should definitely go mobile.

40m of revenue with epic Ip publicity and still needs to be released on android but the media keeps talking about how much of a failure it was.

How much did the game cost to make and market? How much of that 40 million does Nintendo get?

40 million of revenue doesn't mean the game was profitable to make, and even if it did make a profit, it might not have made a profit significant enough for it to be labelled a success.

Well this game couldnt have been very expensive to make. Seem like it just uses assets from NSMBU.

~4mil sales. Those are some very strong numbers at that price. I didn't even know paid mobile apps could move that many units
