Sticker Star is the absolute number 1. SS's negative effect on me is so overwhelming I can't think of another franchise which got ruined.

Dark Dawn did so much wrong, I'm pretty sure we'll never see another Golden Sun game. The Golden Sun series already wasn't huge. The fact that we got Dark Dawn at all surprised me back when it was announced despite being a huge fan of the GBA games. All it would take was one mediocre entry that didn't sell all that well to essentially condemn the series. Then Dark Dawn came along with a very average to low difficulty, a story that had no ability to stand on its own without the GBA titles, and a cliffhanger ending that didn't even make the entry satisfying to complete.
I agree it wasn't the worst game ever, but its painfully average everything likely pushed Golden Sun into the "maybe we'll reboot the series someday" IP stack.

I actually kinda like NG3, it has some of the coolest moments in the trilogy, but if my memory serves me the linear thing began with NG2. NG3 moved more in that direction and had some flatout boring moments, still better than I think it gets credit for.
Yaiba was fucking dog shit, it shouldn't even exist. Nioh looks like a Darksouls clone, but I got my eye on it.
A single bad game doesn't ruin a franchise, they can always try again. If that was the case than Sonic 2006 would have killed any interest in Sonic for me.

Dead Space 3 is an awful Dead Space game but an alright shooter otherwise.

People argue about different things. Not scary enough, not survial horror enough, the story was bad, etc.
I dunno, it was a fun shooter and the story was always shit. The problems with a game like RE6 are obvious, but DS3 was great to me.

Command & Conquer 3 - start of the demise
Assassin's Creed III - when the main antagonist is leagues better than your protagonist, it tells a lot
Master of Orion III - while I personally didn't hate it, it killed the series
Commandos 2 - poor compared to the originals
Tomb Raider (2013) - liked the originals better
CoD Black Ops - all subsequent games were worse
Saints Row IV - point of no return? I know they're trying to save it with Gat out of Hell, but probably not gonna happen
Crysis 2 - did not live up to 1
