A less educated base is a base that is easier to control. Its why the first thing the Trump administration and the GOP are attacking are the endowment for arts and humanities along with CPB and the public education system. Anything that threatens their reign like the media, education, and the freedoms of speech and to gather are all on the chopping block. Expect them to try to go after the Constitution in the near future.

You sure think Trump is all powerful. Able of singlehandedly making Americans stupid by defunding public radio and able to amend the constitution without opposition. This Trump guy sounds unstoppable when you talk about him.

Let me ask you. Who has stopped him so far? He destroyed everyone in the GOP primaries. He made them bow down when he said he would pull out and take his followers with him. He stole the country with nothing but lies and when people told him otherwise he still told the lies until people believed him. Who is stopping him? He has pretty much enslaved the GOP who are now believing his "Alternative Facts" about voter fraud and soon he will be freeing Russia from sanctions. And his idiots applaud it.

So let me ask again? Who will stop him?

Do you want to convince someone with insults?

For months there was the "Russia frauded the election" und "Jill Stein recount effort against Trumps voter fraud" and suddenly voter fraud is a lie and never existed?

What? We had recounts for this very reason. There is no proof whatsoever that 3-5 million illegal votes happened. And to top it off, its been shown that Bannon, the Brietbart editor who is whispering in Trumps ear is registered in 2 states. The very stuff that the investigation Trump wants to do will expose.

Isnt that something Mexico and other Latin American countires should have done in the first place if they really cared about their sovereignty?

That's how things developed because USA was naturally a very attractive commercial partner, being a big buyer/seller, and being close which facilitated trade. If it stops being good to trade with, countries will start looking for other trade partners, USA is a big and rich country, but is not the only viable option for trade by any means, screwing your relationships with other countries is just bad for you.

Some people here are getting completely out of the subject, which is not "illegal immigrants are bad", of course they are, but the problem is the "ruler" of this powerful country is starting to prove he is going to be a horrible partner for anyone who doesn't accept him as his superior, and not many countries will accept that, and that will hurt USA more than anyone else, as global trade will find its way outside of it, and USA will be excluded from sharing which means no benifiting or profiting from it.

Immigrats are not the issue being discussed here, a horrible leader is.

But the US was doing it since forever with Latin America but in a covertive way. Trump is just open about it thats the difference.

It seems that you consider yourself the pinnacle of truth, logically everyone else is just a liar or idiot, what else could there be?

If the political left says voter fraud exists they must have solid reasons! If Trump says voter fraud exists then he is a liar! Double standards.

The extent of illegal votes in whatever form is part of the investigation and you have just given another reason for conducting such investigations.

@bunchanumbers

I know at least Sen. John McCain has stated his intentions to oppose the freeing of Russian sanctions. I feel that you forget (or maybe ignore) that on the other side of the aisle are people who also want the best for the country, rather than being a bunch of spineless evil white people that hate everyone except those with money. I think the reactions of the left after this election has proven how little difference lies between the republican and democratic parties. Suddenly, the fearmongers are on the left, ranting about the end of democracy and America as we know it under this President! Sounds familiar? I didnt vote for Trump, even though I lean Republican, but I can respect the outcome of the election, I trust that many in the GOP are good people, and I believe in our governmental system. Its not so black and white.

From what I read, nobody claimed that Russia "frauded" the election. The claim that I've always heard is that Russia interfered with the election. There is a big difference between the two. Frauding the election would mean that they actually changed the votes while interfering means that they influenced the flow of information to tip the scales. I may have missed something, but if these claims were really that widespread I feel like I would have heard them by now.

Also (again, from what I've read), Stein didn't say that Trump voters frauded anything. They essentially said "we want to make sure it didn't happen" and it didn't. End of story. (Also, Stein isn't a democrat. Just saying...)

In the end, just have an investigation and create a federal voter ID law - voter fraud by illegals / dead people/ double voters will be no more a problem. Also ban voting machines and use paper ballots instead - safe against Russian hackers.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: until we can assure that Voter ID Laws don't disenfranchise any legal voters, they should not even be considered.

Nah. McConnell, Thune and others have all bought into his alternative facts about voter fraud. Trump pretty much beat them down until they toed his line. This will continue until the others are beat down too. Never mind that there was no proof of 3-5 million people committing voter fraud. Trump will just repeat it until it is believed as fact. And can you really say they have the best interests of the country on their mind? The first thing they tried to do was kill the ethics watchdog group. That doesn't seem in our best interests.
