Some people really think a big enough wall will stop immigrants?

This is what we have in Melilla:

People have died climbing this thing due to the cuts by the barbed wire and blades. Still doesn't stop them.

Isn't it a well documented fact that most illegal immigrants come into your country through legal means (Vacation, visiting) at border crossings and just overstay their visas. A wall wouldn't do anything to stop that kind of immigration.

Thanks for sharing I knew nothing of Melilla.  Seems like a sad situation for those that do make it over or around the fence.

Hell turn it into a tourist attraction where you can lay a few brick, build a wall get a picture and souvaniour of you doing it. Pretty sure some would do that tour and pay for it lol. 

The world has a lot of simple minded people that can be easily influenced into things..

It'll cost from 12 to 15 billion dollars, as estimated by USA itself.

i dont think that includes maintenance...

also they have to make new road so they can build the road in some area....

that is roughly the same price of the wall itself.... 1 million per mile to make roads to unaccessible area....

an area people would be able to drive... and guess who will use it? most probably illegal stuff
