Hey I saw somewhere on the net that its possible to be able to switch between Vista and XP Operating systems on the same PC. It looked a bit complicated to me so I did not go out and get Vista and give it a go.

There is a good rule to use when using Microsoft software. Don't use beta products! SP3 is very close to being ready, but as long as it's still a release candidate, it's not meant for the avg consumer. It's meant for people who will accept the responsibility of finding problems like the one ssj12 is having.

ssj12 what site did you get it from? A torrent download? Those programs can be full of viruses.

That's why I don't install RC's no matter how 'close' they are to release. That's the peril of being an early adopter....

Once it's in officially released I'll install it on my XP box. Not any sooner tho =/

Well I still use SP1, never actually thought of upgrading.

Good God, man. Are you a sadist? SP1 was complete and utter shit.

Microsoft screwed up BADLY. There is an error in the install that can cause Blue Screens during start-up and makes the OS crawl slower then XP Service Pack 1.

This error caused an XML glitch I cant figure out how to fix. I had to install a new chat program, Pidgin, to use AIM/MSN because of this error affected Trillian. Anyone have a clue how to fix this, Trillian is 100% better and cleaner.

How the heck did M$ screw up their 8 year old OS? I seriously underestimated their stupidty. They have complete idiots programming for them.

Edit: btw RC1 v3300 works great, I suggest you to install it.

Don't blame Microsoft you installed a "release candidate" that is what RC2 stands for. When it comes to MS never install anything unless it's a MS official release. Since its an RC there probably won't be a fix for a while. MS is forced to release fixes to official releases.

LOL OS X leopard also had its issues and in some regards still does like Rosetta Stone not working or AE CS3 not working in 10.5.0 and several crashes which have been fixed with 5.2 and 5.1 which brougth other issues.

SSJ12 RC stands for Release Candidate there were problems with RC1 and when they fixed them it caused other issues that lead to what you see in RC2. I like RCs but I know they are not perfect and are out there solely to get a large number of logs on other problems and configurations they aren't accounting for yet. XP and Vista RCs had issues that weren't in the final build. But yeah you don't download a RC/Beta/Alpha software on a system you intend to use. What for the official release.
