Well Sony gave them money also. This money was to show Sony there was serious interest,just for whatever reason Sony isn't open abou it.
Only 9 times more and they have the budget for an actual game!
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
I think once they make an official trailer, the pledges is gonna sky rocket.

Triple A games development are pushing 9 figures now. Sega isn't the company they used to be, hence the crowd funding. they can't afford to take the risk on their own. if their is enough support they could pick it up. Those numbers posted by the O.P. are quite low.
