It looks to me like CG, so it's not too pretty for Wii.
I still think PS3 exclusive though.

Quotes to live by!

"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing"- Helen Keller

"i am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward"-Thomas Edison

"Man is not the creature of circumstancesCircumstances are the creatures of men"

RPG and you should play it :).

Tri-Ace said last year this game would be on "ONE console that can create beautiful graphics".

So its kinda safe to assume its for a HD console.

Nintendo & Sony supporter:

 Consoles: Wii & PS3.

It's 100% clear in my mind that this is for PS3 only. We are talking about SE here, not Namco, Capcom or Konami. Most of their key franchises go on Play Station.

Pretty much confirms it's either PS3 only or PS3/Xbox360.

How so?

The screens look too good to be for our little Wiis ( Hmmmm )...

Is there a particular part that looks beyond the Wii's capabilities?

I don't see enough those screenshots to make that call yet, maybe there's something you can point out that I am not seeing. ^_^

If those are in-game than it most deffinatly wont be a Wii game . If its just cinematic , than it could be ...

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

The lack of confirmation actually bodes ill for this being an exclusive PS3 title. Sony has been trading on potential for so long that it would be contrary to their interest to have a title undisclosed. They need big confirmations now and more of them to avoid the PS3 enjoying the same horrific sales it saw last summer. Were this title PS3 exclusive we would know now, and Sony would be advertising the hell out of it.

The contrary view for 360 exclusivity is that Microsoft would actually not want the titles platform disclosed and neither would the developer. Microsoft doesn't need JRPG confirmations they will have ten before the year is out. However if they get consumers excited and then drop the bomb that makes it harder for consumers in Japan to dismiss the title. Better to get consumers in the frame of mind that they really want the title before telling them they have to make a deal with the devil.

What is most interesting to me is how Microsoft has played this generation in Japan they haven't just gotten developers on their side for one title it is two or three. Which to me says that Microsoft probably bought game packages in bulk before this generation even began.

Mistwalker is obvious, but then look at Bandai Namco, and now here we have Tri-Ace Square. That would most definitely fit the existing pattern. Just a thought but if Microsoft did purchase package exclusivities before this generation then Star Ocean would most definitely fit that mold.

I would like to see what a good Jrpg could do on the Wii... I mean DQswords launch back when the Wii userbase in Japan was less than 2 million and sold 500k, and DQS was a piece of Garbage...

I am sure huge well done jrpg could go platinum in Japan on the Wii...

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

We do not know about the 360 but it will probably be for the PS3. If the screens on the last scan are indeed in-game, then they look pretty damn good.

i think i said this before but, why try to create false anticipation/hype about the console which you choose to release one of your better Ip's on, when history already dictates the direction in which you're leaning. This whole guessing game is just silly if u ask me, unless Tri-ace was looking in a different direction and considering an alternative platform.

Final Verdict: PS3 exclusive[almost a given], or Multiplat X360PS3 [credible] release.
