Have you ever used dating sites/apps

Yep, and they worked great for me 4 18.18%

Yep, and they were okay 1 4.55%

Yep, and they suck 8 36.36%

Nope 9 40.91%

Jury's still largely out for me, because I'm relatively new using Tinder, but so far it sucks. Wouldn't recommend it. A lot of no-responses, a few dull conversations that went nowhere, a few conversations that went WELL but then they just disappear. Met one person so far where she wanted to meet at some shitty bar at a shitty part of town. She looked nothing like her photo, seemed completely uninterested and the worst part - brought two of her friends. Another chick wanted to get drinks but has cancelled on me twice now..

Pretty close to ditching Tinder and giving OK Cupid a try. My cousin has been using Plenty of Fish and has had a couple decent experiences using it, and a buddy of mine is talking up "Bumble" so may give those a whirl as well.. But I just don't know, I'm starting to feel like you're better off going the old school route and meeting a chick at a bar/club/class/gym, because with these dating sites you're basically taking a gamble and don't know what to expect.

That is the real face of a fake profile on dating sites. Fraudster/con artist manipulates, lies, cheats and deceives to make financial gain.

Yeah I have come across quite a few scammers in my time. They always try to get you to sign up to some service in order to video chat with them/prove you're real/etc, trying to get your credit card details. You gotta be wary.

Yeah, having been on tinder for three weeks now, it's gotten me absolutely nowhere. Crappy site; on the rare occasion I get a match, they always disdappear after a few messages. Of course, there's always the possibility that its me who's ugly/boring, but I have gotten better results from both OKCupid and Plenty of Fish, including dates from both.

I went on one and the guy ended up being like 36 lol instead of 19

Ugh, getting catfished sucks.

Never tried, might try this summer. Been doing cold approach, and most girls have a bf or aren't interested in dating (/ don't like me). At least with online dating sites those 2 things are not common, aside from some trolls.

An update: So after trying for 3 years (every day and using up all the "likes" and "swipes" pretty much each day) and never getting anywhere I deleted all of my profiles and accounts off 4-5 different apps/sites. I've given up on the whole online dating thing. The real life dating thing isn't even really an option for me so I guess that's it.

Yeah, I'm feeling like doing the same honestly. It's just not getting me anywhere. I guess that in courtship, as in anything competitive, some people inevitably lose out. It sucks, but that's life I suppose.

Personally, I've never tried online dating before. I've never really been appealed by it.

Yes, I never knew I would be dating in the app our city neighbor. Jeez, we were having fun almost every night, it's because my shift starts at 2 pm and ends 11pm, and she's always the one who's been giving me relaxation for almost everyday. Then I was able to ask her, and play games with me, now, were playing Ragnarok Journey for quite some time :D

My current boyfriend was found on Tinder, and I've met many awesome guys from these apps, so they work awesomely for me. :)
