Only handful of games will bother with it. The downsampling on 1080P I guess will help in better aa? but at the end of the day we are not getting games built for the console. So it is not much help. Because console are not PC and the game need to be built so that it can be utilized properly. I am sure with PS5 we will see it and that might also help PC. Not PS4P and Scorpio

Isn't xbox scroptio just a pc, but closed off. I'm pretty sure it will.

yeah i'll probably do that. i bought x1 about 2 months after release but thats only cuz MS had a nice trade in ps3 deal.

Thanks for the numbers, but it goes back to more like earlier generations. Where one new console was 2-3 times more powerful, and that showed and people liked it.
I think, at least for Xbox, traditional generations are over. They will just be upgrades to the systems, older games will fall in to some legacy models, for a generation back or so. Just like how current 360 games will run on the Xbox One, Xbox One S and Scorpio. Microsoft has been really good at backwards compatability for years on PC.
It's all basically PC's now anyway, and why would they want to change to specialized hardware? I think Gens are basically over for the forceable future.
