So you can touch it and get a response like any other tablet?

Where are the noble prize awards for Nintendo!?!?!?! Revolutionary technology! The Switch should be $449 with amazing features like this!

The comment failed as sarcasm, as funny, as rude and as a joke. You tried.

Certainly wasn't amazing sarcasm, but it was far from rude.

I simply thought it was obvious that Nintendo would depart from the resistant touch screen. After all, without a stylus, what would they gain from requiring you to place pressure onto the screen to gain a response?

The actual Switch console is a tablet and shares many features. Micro sd card, HD screen, thin bezels, etc. No reason why they'd differ in terms of screen technology.

ohh I'm sorry, bad reaction.

anyway, as I said, this is the first nintendo console with capacitive multi touch screen so this video shows something new for Nintendo consoles. That's why a thread for it is not such a bad idea.

Bye bye stylus!!!!! Most of the times on the DS and Gamepad I couldnt ve bothered getting the stylus and just use my finger........it got annoying how unresponsive it was. Glad they are changing it!

Soooo much functions to it! Hopefully the softwares will make great use of it.

Looks good, but still doesn't answer my question is if the screen is multi-touch sensing?

Its quite impressive as a technology, to bé able to interact liké that just by slightly touching thé screen, it would bé insane if in thé futur we could have this everywhere, éven thiner with à big autonomy, with things like Internet on it for example, you imagine ?
It would bé liké a slate but with internet , weather, applications, all of that directly in your bed...
We could éven miniaturize it and with this technology make phones with internet in thé street ! But Maybe im going to far haha, its full science fiction
