Been saying for weeks psvr has been woefully undershipped

I remember Sony promising to ramp up production of PSVR before launch to meet the higher than expected demand. I wonder whether or not they actually managed to do that and still aren't able to put out enough units. Right now it seems more likely that there are major component shortages (probably the OLED).

As I said in the other thread. I fully expect PS4 software to outsell PS2 lifetime. With PSVR, unlimited access to games via PlayStation Store, and $5 or less Flash Sales, it is bound to be the biggest software console of all time. The amount of content on PS Store just keeps growing with more classics, and more PC syle tites, PS4 is easily the most software rich console in histoy.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

The attachment ratio has gone up over time. Late May, the PS4 sold-through 40 million and PS4 software sold 270.9 million units, making the ratio 6.77 games per console.

That's a big jump since May, another 130 million games sold.
In comparison Steam had 370 million paid games activated this year alone, 3.5 billion revenue at $9.40 avg per game.
PS4 game sales revenue should be a lot higher though.

And with over 2 billion pcs in the world, Steam only sells 0.185 games per pc per year despite the bargains compared to 2.4 games per console sold in the last 6 months for ps4. MS taught me how to spin :)

Supposedly this is without counting PS+ games or F2P titles.
So actual attach rate of games for the system is higher than 7,5.

Also its sold through, not shipped.

Previous gens at this point in their lifecycle
: (taken from neogaf):

PS3: 261.2 million (shipped)
NDS: 330.81 million (shipped)
Wii: 509.66 million (shipped)
PS4: 401.1 million (sold through)

Supposedly (lifetime sales to date):
GBA: 377m, SNES: 379m, WiiU: 92m

It will probably sell past the 1B mark.

Ps4 is an absolute beast. And this doesn't count ps plus or f2p titles either. Such a great console!
