Forums - Nintendo Discussion - How are 2 Joycons being $79.99 overpriced when 2 PS Move controllers are $99.99!?

How can someone tell me this? The Joycons are way more technologically advanced than the move controllers yet people are saying Nintendo are the ones selling overpriced accessories.

PS Move Controllers Price: https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-Move-Motion-Controllers-Two-Pack/dp/B01LD7MR2C/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1485108610&sr=8-3&keywords=ps+move+controller

Joycon Controllers Price: https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Joy-Con-L-R-Gray/dp/B01N6QKT7H/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485108856&sr=8-1&keywords=joycon+controller

Also the Pro that the Joycons can double as the standard controller for the system, giving you more for your money. Though I don't know who would really ever buy more Joycons as I don't see anyone needing anymore than the 2 that come with the system. Most people I would imagine would get the Pro controller to use for when in home console mode.

It's because PS Move is not the standard controller. The joycons may not be overpriced for the tech inside of them, but they're higher than people are used to paying for a controller.

One is a overpriced fundamental part of the console, the other an add on you have little need for.

Who says the PS Move aren't overpriced? They are almost as old as the Wiimotes, they shouldn't cross the 30€ mark.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Yeah, the PS Move is definitely overpriced too, but that doesn't make the Joycon price point any better. Mostly goes to show how much revenue Nintendo is hoping to generate from peripherals. At least many of my friends will have their own Switch consoles, so multiplayer won't need us to buy any extra joycons =p

The joycons are cheaper than the move and the tech is better.
the pro controller is 10 bucks more expensive than the xbox one controller, but the pro controller has hd rumble, motion control and is rechargeable so yeah, the price is not bad if you use common sense (something that most people lack)

My opinion after a good amount of research, the joycons and pro controller are not overpriced. But Nintendo should have a cheaper controller for the masses.

But the Joycons are not the standard controllers, they are just the ones they come with in order to use the handheld. The Pro Controller is the Standard controller which is only $10 more than Sony and Microsofts controllers and the Pro Controller has the more features inside that are also in the Joycons aswell as a 40hr battery life.

the competition sells overpriced controlers and that is a excuse for nintendo to do it?

Actually...yes, if they're getting away with it, why not?

I want you to read back the bold part to yourself outloud...slowly.

Also, they're both overpriced

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

How is an iPhone overpriced when a mansion costs 100 times more?????
