Good news, prices should keep coming down. I admit I was looking around at a VR gaming laptop a few days ago, gtx1070, 512GB SSD. Then I had a reality check, CAD 2949 (excl headset). Resident Evil 7 is out in 3 days! PSVR will do.

Well, today I just got my own desktop, the first internet-connected one that I don't share with my parents. It's very too powerful, but that's fine because I don't buy games digitally and since most new games are on Steam I'll just be getting older DOS and Windows 95/98/2000/XP games I guess.

Microsoft is doing a great job making PC very attractive. With Windows Store purchases working across all devices, it creates a massive value, that really can't be matched by Sony or Nintendo. Hopefully, MS can continue to gain traction, and soon all games can be available via the WS, and the majority of windows gaming online can be done through XBL/WL.

I plan to buy a Scorpio this year to add to the PC sales base. It they keep up the good work, and more games get UWA support, I may end up having to go all MS for mobile, portable, and home.

I'm actually thinking of getting a PC after these gen 8.5 consoles are coming out. I'd rather just invest in something that will last and can just be upgraded if it needs to.
