look, its good you enjoy vr but calling my post dumb is pretty much confirming your disregard for human health.

its amazing how you and a few people can play vr for as long as you want without any pain (and i salute you), but don't be ignorant to the fact that you are in the minority.

the truth is, vr has caused more pain than enjoyment for the majority.

Sorry, but I have to jump in here. I have had many VR parties, and many people come over for solo time with the PSVR. The only games that have caused any discomfort are Driveclub, Here They Lie, and Robinson: The Journey. Otherwise, I have not had anyone complain about any of the other games. People have played Until Dawn: Blood Rush, VR Worlds (All Worlds), RIGS, Batman, and much more without any issue.

So far everyone who has played it has been extreamly optimistic about it, and very interested in grabbing their own sometime in the future. Some are waiting for Gran Turismo, some for waiting to see if MLB The Show supports it, other are looking for Call of Duty or Battlefield, but so far everyone has come out with a massive smile on their face, and full of excitement.

VR is going to be the future of this medium. I don't think it will happen with PSVR1, but I don't think it is too far away either. I think by 2020, there are going to be some amazing VR experiences available for very cheap. By 2025 I don't see any major game coming out that doesn't support VR, or as a fully VR only experience. Classic games will still be developed, a handfull of major studios will still make AAA games, but a large portion of AAA developers will move on to VR, because it is a massivly better experience, and they can greatly expand on creating their vision.

Fair enough.

I really would prefer that VR at home becomes big, more so than in arcades and theme parks though. I would love to see a future where you can buy a VR system for $5,000 that has cutting edge tech, the most percise motion tracking, and industry leading screen tech. I would totally be in the market for that kind of stuf.

I think one day when the technology is better I'd be all for it, like for example having 2 people simultaneously using VR headsets playing on the same console/PC together, that could be pretty cool. Also I think we need far more powerful machines to run the top quality AAA experiences without compromise. And obviously in the future the headsets will be sleeker and therefore more comfortable.

I see a future for home VR but I think it's too soon for me to buy into it for the foreseeable future.

It will be interesting to see where it goes. I think two headsets on one device will be tough. I think mainstream (PS1 level sales) won't happen until we reach 4K/120fps/180 Degree Field of View, and that is going to be another decade before a device can even run one headset at that level.

This is definitly the early days of VR. We are at best at the NES level, if not even further behind than that. It won't take long to reach PS2 levels, and at that point, VR will be the future of AAA games. For those that still don't want VR at that point, things will be good though, because Uncharted 4, The Last of Us level classic style games will be filled by Indies, and they will make some great games.
