Brotherhood is my favorite, but it may lose something if you never play II.

I feel like the series has never been as good as it was with Ezio.

Assassin's Creed 2

Played 2, 3 and Black flag (4).

I'd recommend 2.

out of 3 and 4 i prefer 3.  That said im only 1/4 through 4 as all the constant naval battles turned me off.

Assassin's Creed 2 but the other entries are amazing too, especially the Ezio Trilogy.

Black Flag is my favourite Assassin's creed game but of the ones in the poll I vote for the first Assassin's creed but I'm sure i'm the minority and everyone else will tell you anything but the first game :D

For me, Brotherhood

2 was the first game I played, and I really enjoyed it. Brotherhood refined it, and added some cool stuff of it's own that actually worked and added to the experience. After that, feature creep. One game even had tower defence, which was appallingly bad.

Black Flag is in second for me, the only game after Brotherhood that added something worthwhile to the formula. If it has come earlier in the series, it probably would have been my favourite.

Which games are the Ezio Trilogy? Is it One, Two, and Brotherhood? Based on the responses I think I'll stick with II and Brothehood. Maybe pick up Black Flag a few years down the road and try it out.

Hands down ACII with brotherhood a close second, but that ending was really bad.

Hated black flag and III.
