No reasons for the moment to buy a Switch:

- too expansive (1)
- no exclusive games (2)
- paying online means Splatoon is dead(2)

1. It has a perfect price for a higend portable/homedoking/newend controller/touch wonder

2. You dont know if we have seen all games yet.. and even if.. you know that before cristmas 9 month later.. there will be many

3. Again.. You know nothin about the online.. there is a posibylity.. That Nintendo make some that has the right price.. and myaby even some that totally blows Xbox/Sony back to stoneage.. We know that Nintendo got Dena for this.. we have seen "strange" patens.. Dont think you know any about this yet.. Ontop of that.. I could totally see Nintendo doing splatoon and Mariokart free to play online.. (or atleast include a 1 year)

Point of this.. You have not the full picyure.. you have to wait before you jump to conclusion.. its like saying you dont like a movie after hearing that its 2 hour long.. make no sense

I don't know if the analogy is truly direct: the GC was the best system (by perfomance), when it launched. The WiiU was far from the best, and Nintendo knew that. If you're checking in underpowered, it is incumbent upon you to ensure that value proposition is otherwise maintained (a la the Wii).

For the record, Nintendo has always made good games.

But so was Wii U. Wii U's a little underpowered compared to PS4 and X1, but at it's release it was more powerful system.

The games on Wii U haven't really been good.

Wait. What? DF confirmed that PS3/X1 were more powerful, especially when it came ot multiplats. The latter part probably was a sign of things to come.

I am not jumping to conclusions. I am not buying the Switch until I have a good reason for it and in the first months I have no reasons to buy the Switch.

If it's at 200€ at Christmas I will take it with Mario. But I can play Zelda on the Wii U and will NEVER pay to play online, never. If Nintendo was going to make Splatoon or Mario Kart 8 free , then they would have make all the online free. All will be behind a paywall.

I don't see what's wrong with the logic that $300 for a home/handheld console that is significantly less powerful than 2 other, significantly older, well-supported, and very available consoles is a lot to ask of a consumer.

Im not getting a Switch but how do people expect it get 3rd party support if they dont buy the system straight away, thats one sure way it wont get third party support.

People spend money on thing they want, not to try to get third parties to make other decisions.

That's the most expansive "handheld" since a lot of time. Even more expansive than the Vita in its time.

The pricing is out of its world.... Nintendo should have gone with AMD if it meant an affordable console.

Xbox One is more powerful, no doubt. Digital Foundry? When did it confirm PS3 being more powerful?

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

As a Wii U owner, I've had plenty of gripes about the system, but honestly, once it gets Breath of the Wild, I think I'll be happy with it overall. I just wish I'd waited and not bought it so early in its lifespan, or had such high hopes for it.

I am very wary of getting a Switch though, as it I'm concerned it will fall into the same chicken-egg cycle of poor sales = poor support that Wii U did.

Nintendo supported the Wii U with arguably some of the best games this gen, I personally have a large backlog to get through, I feel Nintendo did good by Wii U, but they can't keep it going due to financials, I get that
