I'm sure there will be kiosks of Switch systems in stores so you can try the HD Rumble. It's kind of like VR. You have to experience it first hand to form your own opinion.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Switch FC: SW-0398-8858-1969

Can someone explain the difference between HD rumble and SD rumble?

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Here is a link to the thread from Dec 18 where I predicted it would be in the Switch. It has video links that show what HD Rumble is http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=223769&page=1

With the price of everything else for Switch being ridiculously overpriced they'll probably charge £150 for the VR unit even though its probably a $5 piece of plastic.

I suspect the HD rumble feature will initially impress and feel good but then you get bored of it easily and prefer going back to a standard controller.

If its any good you can bet it will feature on Scorpio and PS5.

But HD Rumble is in a standard controller, the Switch Pro Controller.

I meant any standard controller without HD feedback. I.e. wii u, xbone, ps4 etc. It's like when your playing a race game and every time you go round the circuit you keep going off the track slightly at a certain point and get that vibration feedback to indicate your off the track within a short space of time you have turned off the feedback. Also with Switch you may be motivated to turn it off to extend battery life especially as the standard Switch package only charges the controllers when they are docked so one way of extending that time when using it as a home console is turning off vibration. I mean how big are the batteries going to be in those tiny little controllers? I suspect the pro controller is going to be significantly better for home use.

I want to try it of course, but I'm a bit skeptical that it's mostly hype. But sure if it makes safe cracking and lock picking more fun / challenging, why not. I still think it will be a gimmick. For the vast majority of game time it won't make a difference, and it still won't make stop your hands from going through virtual things.

I see your point, but the Joy-Cons are supposed to last 20 hours each. And that is with HD Rumble turned on.

Am I the only one who wants to know how it feels to bash a Bokoblin's head in? I'm sure with HD Rumble it will be quite satisfying.

Coming soon Manhunt 3: Praetor Vesania. Manhunt 3 will let you feel different impact sensations depending on the weapon used and which part of the body is struck. You'll feel individual bones snap with different progressive sensations as repeated blows weaken the target body. Feel the squishy resistance of driving you thumbs into someone's eye sockets, or the sensation of sawing off a limb or head while the victim is still alive. Most immersive physchological horror thriller ever. No pushing buttons from a distance, every kill must be felt to be earned! Bonus replay mode, feel it from the victim's perspective. Let's see who has the stomach to earn that platinum trophy. (disclaimer: HD rumble actors received full medical benefits, made in full compliance with 18 USC 2257A)
