Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Foxconn Leak was real, when Docked Switch is about 70 % Xbone

Is this the new "Power of the cloud", "GPGPU" or "Super fast eDRAM"?

At least "Teh Cell" eventually lived up to its expectations.

Lets see if "70% X1" holds true (highly unlikely)

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Depends how much investment (time and money) Nintendo put into porting the game. It's a launch game.

By your logic, Twilight Princess on the Wii should have looked just as good and advanced as Skyward Sword from a technical point of view.

This is a Wii U game that was supposed to have been released for quite a long time.

900p 30fps on docked mode speaks volumes to this 70% xbox 1 claim

How long did Nintendo take to port it to the Switch?

It's a port, not a game that's been made from the ground with the Switch in mind. Remember the cross-gen ports for the PS4 and XBO? Did it indicate anything about the actual potential of the consoles? No. No reason why it should be any different here.

It's a first party title and due to its art style not even a very demanding one at that. As far as we can tell, the reason why it wasn't released much earlier was because they artificially wanted to use it as a switch launch title. It's even releasing earlier on switch than on the wii u.

This 70% claim is complete bullshit. But hey, people are free to think what they want. I recall many claiming it would be more powerful than a ps4 a few months ago lol

hope it will be true, pascal is the bottom line.

Hum... What you say doesn't counter anything I've said.

And the Wii U version releases on the same day as the Switch version.

Why would it be anything but 256 Cuda cores? That seems pretty standard for a mobile device.

If it was higher than that Zelda: BotW should run at 1080p no problem.

No that doesn't really make any sense. Bumping the resolution of the game is completely different from redoing the graphics basically from scratch.

Breath of the Wild isn't a simple resolution bump. They needed to tweak a lot of things since the Wii U is Power PC based, while the Switch is ARM based. It's a port. Not a game they made from scratch for the Switch.

Consider this case to be similar to The Last of Us Remastered. This port from a Cell based game to a x86 architecture was in no way indicative of what the PS4 could do, which was then demonstrated by Naughty Dog's first "from the ground up" PS4 game: Uncharted 4.

But how will difference be in actual games.

The difference in games will be the FLOPS counter.

All Switch games will have a FLOPS counter in the upper left corner so that the gamers always know how many FLOPS are currently FLOPPED.
