Switch or Switch TV?

No, I don't think I will. I know one of these days I'll travel and I'll WANT to play my Switch games.

If they can make the switch for 300 dollars, making a switchTV for 200 would be very easy and I believe that many people would choose that over the portable one.

I think they should do it, even tho I would buy the portable version myself. I could also see the switchTV being able to be 150 dollar 1 years in, which would be massive and expand the market. And 130 dollars near the end of the console cycle. The fact that is using maxwell based chip makes way more affordable since is a last gen arquiteture and Nvidia wants to move it. The fact the power supply can be tiny saves on materials and casing. The fact that has cartridge and only a small flash drive instead of spinning HHD and blu-ray makes more cheap also, thus they can get a price very early that would be unprecidently cheap with Nintendo games, no way wouldn't be a sucess. The only thing costly would be the acessories.

I hope they release the SwitchTV at least in 2018, it is essential in my point of view.

If you make an unrealistically optimistic proposal, people will naturally say yes. You don't cut $100 off the total cost my removing a screen and a battery.

PSTV?

May be, however, Nintendo should know that some people would perhaps prefer it. Should of catered to both imo.

Here I go with my "purpose of the thread" post. I was going to wait but I'm not patient in my old age. I think/hope most people would choose the full experience.

I think it's worth the extra money. It's worth the $100 to have all of the functionality especially the portability. From what I hear, the screen is beautiful. Even at 720p. I think people will see demo kiosks and fall in love. If course, I'm being optimistic. I haven't seen one in person. I'm just excited.

Yes. I would 100% buy that.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Yes, it would be great companion console, just not at that price (and no, I don't care that nVidia Shield TV has the same price tag, nVidia is known for overpricing everything).

Considering your poll options look somewhat biased, this doesn't somehow surprise me at all.

The "TV" version would actually be handy in families with small kids. It's easier to find and/or put in a practical location close to the TV.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

if switch was developed in the mindset of not having to fit into a "mobile" form factor the switch could easily launch at $200 with a decent profit for nintendo.

Actually yes, you do.

@OP, no I would not buy it, but it would be a nice option for those among us who so despise handheld gaming.
