He is talking about Japan, the weakest region for PS4 crazy numbers.

He is talking about Japan, the weakest region for PS4 crazy strong numbers (Relative to the rest of the world strong regions, which if you compare it the PS3, PS4 is leaps ahead, not just slightly ahead.)

The other games had legs because the franchise was in a growth period though. Particularly the first game which iirc sold over 220k across the original release and budget re-release.
I don't think the franchise is growing anymore so I'm not sure this game will have the same legs. Also, user reviews from Japan seem quite scathing which might also impact it.
We'll see. The franchise isn't in a bad place by any stretch, but I'm not convinced it's doing as well as it could be.

Well the closest competition for said franchise would be Ace Attroney correct? (I know they aren't that similar, but closest competition). Is that franchise also still healthy, since that specific genre could have bright future if those franchises are still healthy.

Most recent entry was down about 50k FW I believe, so still okay but not as healthy as it had been.

Ya not too bad, I know it was super popular in the DS era, but that era is gone. Plus for both these two titles, I think digitally actually works in there benefit.

Yes it's tough and PS4 needs to be significantly up YoY. That said, it's still very much possible and not farfetched at all. PS4 is also few months ahead of PS3, so when PS3 hits 5 million PS4 is in the slow summer season and PS3 is just about to enter it. The graph doesn't show it yet but after PS3 hits 5 million the sales drop considerably making it easy target for PS4 to overtake again if needed.

And at this point we can really see the effect of a diverse lineup on the PS4 sales. FFXV did have a big impact!
