Yes it is.

Well games have changed over the years. I grew up in the NES era were the games pretty much told you to go fuck yourself if you werent good enough.lol

Is that why most of them had a high score table with easy to beat CPU scores?

The high score thing was mostly before the NES, except for some early titles.

I'm pretty sure that held on well into the SNES era.

On some arcade ports, sure.

Not getting a virtual "Good job you" is a reason not to buy a console?

Yes it is.

Would be a total lack of first party support a bigger or a smaller reason to not buy it for you? Because reading your nickname you seem to have very strange priorities.

Not sure, what's the point of My Nintendo then?

if its anything like the nintendo of old, it'll be to reward purchases.. (club nintendo anyone?)

Any software feature the other competitors both have.... Nitnendo should have as well.

As much as I like popping achievements It doesn't really bother me whether the Switch has them or not, It's a love/hate relationship with me as much as I enjoy achievement hunting at times I just get a feeling that I gotta 100% a game even if it's a long arse boring grind or making you play in a stupid way sometimes leaving a sour taste by doing so in a game that I otherwise loved.

From a business point of view Nintendo should probably have an achievement system it would actually boost software sales as hunters will buy games just to pop them on their own lists.
