I own a Wii and Rock Band intrigues me. So I was hoping that they would eventually port Rock Band over to the Wii and they will be.

 But now I'm reading that there will be no online and no downloadable content. WTF?! It's not like Rock Band is the most graphically intense game out there; and the Wii is online capable. SO WHY ARE THEY GIMPING IT?!   

I'm seriously considering getting a PS3 now so that I don't get the gimpy version of Rock Band (PS3 MGS4 pack + MGS essential collection + Rock Band + Netflix is enough to get me to jump onto the PS3)

Why would you want Rock Band online anyway? It's a game built for local co-op. Downloads are a rip-off too, $1 - $2 for a song.

Remember that the game is coming out a decent amount of time from now and it may just include the downloadable content.

Because Nintendon't want kids to get molested with Rock Band online and the Wii needs a hard drive for downloadable content. Yeah I said it.

I'd rather have the option of online rather than not have online. Also 1-2 dollars a song is not really a ripoff. Its comparable to an itunes download.

and hard drive? cmon that's garbage. A song is what? 4 megs on average? That's the size of like an SNES game. Also just put in a 2 gig SD card. 7 bucks. BAM.

Rock Band for the Wii is an insult, don't get it. Don't support gimped ps2 ports for the Wii.

even at 40 megs, SD cards are cheap enough for me to use so I can download or whatever.

I'M GOING TO BUY IT ANYWAY. I need me some Rock Band drumming, and I don't want to buy another console. I won't play online anyway, it's all about local co-op, like Wii Sports or DDR or a karaoke game. But yeah, they fucked up, those jerkoff assholes. Should've had online and DLC. But I think they're throwing in a good chunk of older DLC on the disc to make up for it.

i fixed your post up a little. world tour is definitely the biggest hit.

for the life of me, i can not understand why some people think the lack of dlc is no big deal. without it, you're playing $170 for 58 songs. sure, the dl songs cost $1-2 a pop, but you can choose from 70+ songs and climbing to have. 

in theory, ps3 or 360 owners can have twice (if not 4 or 5 times down the line) the songs that wii owners will ever have. plus, since dlc is selling so well, rockband 2 might be a ways away.

im a wii owner but i would never waste my money on this and neither should anyone else (that is, anyone who has or is planning to get a ps3 or 360). 

so ghost can still have his copy, haha.
