Horizon is a technical master piece and an absolutely fantastic RPG all in one. it's going to be a while before an RPG pushes the boundaries of gaming like Horizon has. Loving it so far.

You do realize that Amazon is sold out of Zelda on Switch, right?

Amazon Yearly 2017 - the chart that bloody matters:
Zelda: #3 and 8
Horizon: #4
Not that this chart is that worthwhile in software sales predictions. And yeah, Zelda Switch is sold out for a long while and the Wii U stock is struggling to stay up. If you're going to gloat at least do it right though.

The more I think about the Wii u, the more I wish nintendo went with a classic system. It really feels like a switch that wasn't ready to be released.
In the end, I'm just glad we can move on |
Well the Nintendo's biggest fumble with the Wii U was that they created an *evolutionary* system but tried to sell it as *revolutionary* system. The Wii U brought touch screen augmentation of traditional controls to console gaming with second screen additions as well. This could have been used very well. But the Wii U was shoved out the door a year early at least, just looking at it it looks like a prototype that's been polished into something basically sellable.
And nah, the Switch's design philosophy is totally different. One is a 2 screen experience concerned with second screen gaming and touch screen augmentation. Switch is a traditional console with portability. You can't even do second screen gaming and touch controls have to be completely optional for the games to be completely compatible with the system.

I'm one. Most Nintendo gamers have owned a second console by necessity since the late 90s.

I don't see how it'd clash. It seems both are great games and I'll play both in the end. BOTW first, I was waiting it for a long time... )

Well Edge also gave Skyward Sword a perfect 10/10 and that game was a very average Zelda and a boring game IMO. As far as I am concerned their opinion about any Zelda is worthless.
Zelda games are nowadays overrated by the professionnal critics IMO.

Two questions:
Have you played Horizon yet?
Have you played Rise of the Tomb Raider?

Well as you said, it's your opinion. However, most probably don't think that. I mean, why did a crowd of people RUSH to play BoTW at E3? Not sure if I heard anything like that before at such a convention (one mentioned that it hasn't happened since the unveiling of the Wii at E3). Zelda is highly regarded and respected and even devs have admitted finding influence from Zelda over the years. Kinda like talking about the Beatles. You may think they're overrated, but you can't deny how much they've paved the way for others.

Nintendo fans are a bit older and grew up with games compared to younger PlayStation fans.
Sony invest in a lot of different ips and tries not to use them for 25 years.
If you read " zelda at least will get a 9" it means people are already biased.(fanboys)
Not saying zelda won't be amazing but, it cannot reach 10' graphics are not a 10,horizon destroys zelda's graphics.
