I've LOVED playing Splatoon soooooo much since day 1! E3 2014 I didn't really care for the game.... then around Feb 2015 I was watching gameplays of Splatoon everyday! I got excited for no reason for it. NEVER in my gaming career I've ever been so excited for a game in  very very long time. I ranked my greatest games of alll time and Splatoon as #10.. out of the hundreds of games I played.. Splatoon made it in the top 10! That's crazy! Maybe Splatoon 2 will suprass it?.. We'll see. So this is what it'll take for Splatoon 2 to be a great game!.. I say great because I know it's already good

  1. Voicechat: Although it won't do much for the game but WE NEED IT. I like to make friends in lobbies an have fun. I do it in Overwatch, GTA V, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League and I would've done it in Splatoon. Plus, everyone complains about it. Some people say "oh I dont want no kids to rui-" TURN OFF VOICECHAT, its simple. I really hope the Nintendo App wil have some kind of voice chat lobby for games or something.. I just want voicechat for Splatoon!
  2. Higher resolution: Now this was distracting for some people to view the 720p gameplay of Splatoon 2. It wasn't a big deal for Splatoon because well.... look at the Wii U power. Splatoon 2 looked EXACTLY like Splatoon, just slightly better details.  Having a higher resolution will take away that Splatoon 1.5 feel/look.
  3. Different looking stages: Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Splatoon stages... but they look too much of the same for me. The new stage that was revelead looked like a remix version of Urchin Underpass. The splatoon stage starter pack: Blue sunny day, skateboard ramps, grafetti and trees... am I getting something here? Look at Mario Kart courses, they all have their different, roads, weather, themes, and everything! I'd LOVE to see similar turf war stages like that.
  4.  More music: You know how in each Mario game or Zelda game... we're ALWAYS blessed with a great soundtrack! Splatoon was great but it didn't contain alot of soundtracks and I hope Splatoon 2 will give us a BIG and beautiful soundtrack!
  5. A much longer dedicated Story mode: I liked the Splatoon campaign missions alot. but it felt like a list of obstacles to me.. I'd LOVE a big long dedicated story mode with story and fun! I'm not talking about a long sad Story like The Last of Us or Uncharted (seeing Callie in funeral clothes, it seems like thats where its heading) But i'd love a Mario like story mode!
  6. Having to do something while waiting for online matches: Custimizing classes, shoot around, talk to people during voicechat. In Splatoon 2 you HAD to look at a screen and play a cute little NES like game on the gamepad. It was okay but it wasn't that great. I'd love to do something else during the long wait for online matches

The gameplay looks great despite the 720p resolution. The power ups, the weapons looks good but I need to see more. All I'm saying is the Splatoon 2 demo looked good. not great, but good. I KNOW the weapons and specials are gonna be good. I'm just giving some of my opinions to make Splatoon 2 be GREAT not good... GREAT.... What do you think?

Taking out number 6 and maybe number 5, everything else is basically garanteed to be in Splatoon 2, so its a non-issue to worry about it.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Please let Callie still be there! Splatoon's story needs to be cheerful, not dark! Nintendo, don't you dare take Callie from us!

They're probably keeping it at 720p to avoid frame drops like the first game had. As for stages, I actually agree, pretty much all of them are urban settings, that's why I really like Camp Triggerfish. I understand it's necessary for stage design though, and there's still variety to be had within the urban setting. Voice chat is confirmed already, albeit through a phone app which is stupid, and we see an arcade machine in the plaza, so lobby minigames should be returning, but whether they're locked behind amiibo again remains to be seen. I also hope story mode is more fleshed out this time, but we'll have to wait and see.

They confirmed she's in the game, as if there was any real doubt. :L

Fair enough for portable mode, but if portable mode runs at 720p/60fps without frame drops, then the docked mode should be able to push that to at least 900p with still no drops.

I'm fine with 720p. The game would benefit from a higher resolution, but hey, I played on a 50" @ 720p just fine.

On point six, I think they could learn from Super Smash Bros. Perhaps allow the player to run around and shoot ink around a white room until their match starts? It isn't needed, but it can help for people that may have to wait for a long time.

She's already confirmed to be there.

By the way, isn't the game confirmed to be 1080p60fps?

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

If Mario Kart 8 can run at 1080p/60fps than so should Splatoon 2. It looks exactly like the first game. It's a bit lazy imo.

I dont think you need voice chat considering you cant stay out of arguments with the people you play online with.

Yeah that's what bothers me, not the resolution itself, 720p looks fine to me, but the fact that it could easily be better but they just can't seem to be bothered. Maybe they just haven't gotten around to optimizing for docked mode yet, but if this launches with no graphical difference between portable and docked mode, that would be extremely disappointing and very lazy of Nintendo.
