Forums - Sales Discussion - TLG vs Dead Rising 4 vs Yakuza 6 FW sales

This week's software sales chart has updated and it sees 3 exclusives release and go to battle.  Let's see how they faired.

4
The Last Guardian (PS4)
Sony Computer Entertainment, Action
484,267

15
Yakuza 6 (PS4)
Sega, Action
211,455
16
Dead Rising 4 (XOne)
Microsoft Game Studios, Action
203,035

TLG wins easily,  Yakuza 6 second with sales just from Japan and DR4 coming in last.

Kind of useless, since Yajuza only released on Japan, so this says next to nothing, other than Yakuza beat The Last Guardian on Japan. And that Dead rising sold really badly.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

This says PS4 exclusives rock it globally as usual. I think The Last Guardian launching one week after final Fantasy XIV. Too close to be missed in my opinion. However, that being said it didn't do to badly. Should break half a million before years end. Here's to hoping it'll grow some legs. Still need to pick this one up myself.

Yakuza what? that japanese sh*t? who even plays that? weebo's man!

^ sarcasm.

That seems to be the mentality of alot of those xbox guys (crapgamer ect).... yet look at it, its had a bigger week than DR4.

Its kinda unique, and its artstyle ect.... I could def. see it having legs.

Dead Rising 4 could have sold better but Dead Rising 3 only sold a little over 70K more its first week. So its numbers aren't that good but not really terrible compared to the last game.

Pretty much.  you heard a lot about dead rising helping xbox this year but in reality TLG and Yakuza 6 are more significant.

Yeah...so what was that about PS4 and all of it's niche exclusives?

Actually, what do you guys think? Gravity Rush 2 vs. Dead Rising 4 FW?

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Great sales for those games.

It will sell more than thé double

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

To be honest, none of them are selling all that well. Last Guardian is doing fine(Its going to need strong legs though) but Yakuza 6 is way behind Yakuza 5's first week in Japan and Dead Rising 4 is behind Dead Rising 3's first week. For the health of the Yakuza franchise, I think Sega should at least port it to PC in the West. I'd bet it would sell very well on Steam.
