Forums - General Discussion - So how can anime be saved?

The issue with anime seems to be that...

There are a lot of great shows but it seems like one or two shows just act like a vacuum and just dominate .

Meaning any show that has broken outside of Japan is the show that gets the focus the most.

I think Attack on Titan is the show now but even a show like DBZ are still insanely popular then many current anime shows. Maybe not in the anime fanbase but clearly in the overall audiences.

currently watching One Piece, chapter 460...

The last few years have been some of the best in the history of anime, like it or not.

It will be saved when it becomes less cheesy and corny. I'm going through one piece and every speech about "muh friendz" is slowly killing me. It's a shonen jump problem, more than anything.

I think services like Crunchy Roll have been great for making anime accessible to people. Back in the 90s had Toonami if you had cable or borrow a friend's VHS tape of DBZ or similar.

Isn't attack on titan season 2 this April? Anime doesn't need saving!

I stopped watching anime a while ago. Anime nowadays just doesn't capture me anymore. See way to much harem/ecchi foolishness and those slice of life anime. I didn't like this latest jojo it started boring for me and I didn't have the motivation to keep watching. Anime adaptions of manga are still getting worse like I just finished catching up on reading Tokyo Ghoul and I just smh when the anime failed to replicate it. Funny thing is I'm watching more tv shows than I am for anime and it used to be the opposite.

Anime is doing fine

It's beyond saving. Just look at it.

Judging by your profile pic I agree, but thank god not everything looks as bad or  is as repetitive as Bleach.
