I have never been excited for it. Still gonna get it though but not for myself.I sure as hell can't get an 8yr old a PS4. I could even get one for myslf the second it drops to around $199.

I don't think we are the most negative bunch here, its just easier to talk about the negatives cause they are so obvious. There isn't much wrong with the actual hardware itself. Its just everything else around it thats rubbing people the wrong way. But those are all mostly growing pains and can for the most part all be rectified from a better thinking nintendo.

I wouldn't put stock in anything the media says, by default anyone trying to be neutral will all say that its awesome. Thats what they all do for new stuff.

I would normally agree with your last statement, but personalities I'm very familiar with who never beat around the bush are expressing a lot of love for it, and the dev talk this time around rings a lot more genuine than the things they said about the Wii U.

Yeah, they said they'll keep revealing as they approach launch day so there's definitely more, and that Rabbids game is about as close to confirmed as possible lol

Nice! I'm hoping for there to be a Direct or something sometime in February or before launch that goes over some new games we haven't seen yet. Hopefully with more confirmed release dates since all we know for now after the Switch launches in March is that Mario Kart is coming in April, we still don't know what's coming for the rest of April, May, etc outside of Spring games like Arms, Splatoon 2, etc.

They really need to do something to get people back on the hype train.

Call me moderately enthused.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Even I,ve been ranting in several threads about it, mostly it is because of its price. So yeah, Ill wait for a price drop and get it as soon as it gets in my price range ($250 bundled with game or $300 bundled with game/contronller). I know that maybe Ill have to wait 2 years for it to get in that range :(

After all my ranting and crying like a little baby, the fact that MarioKart 8 runs full 1080p docked proves the system is good enough. But if I dont get this prepare for more whining.

Haha that's awesome.

There's a Direct dedicated to Fire Emblem tomorrow.  Hopefully a new game will be announced in addition to details about Fire Emblem Warriors and the mobile game.  http://gematsu.com/2017/01/fire-emblem-nintendo-direct-set-january-18

Lets see, I only want to play Zelda and I have a gaming PC. I have to say that I'm not very excited for a overpriced underpowered console atm. Hopefully the first party software can win me over in the future along with a price drop. Cemu will save the day for my Zelda needs.

I'm quite excited. Presentation didn't hurt my hype all that much really. A lot of good unexpected reveals like Odyssey and Xenoblade 2, the build quality looks top notch, love the look of the Joycon. The $299 price landed right where I expected (never bought into the 199 to 249 price range rumor madness). Paid online is the only pinecone ij the salad but I'll need to see the price and how many online experiences I like show up on it before getting properly miffed or not.

So yeah, excited here. Looking forward to E3, shaping upt to be a right battle royal.

Yes! I will buy one once I can get it for $250 or less.

I am very excited, but I always am with handhelds.
