Then we can expect this to look even better by holidays, and probably 1080p, not that it matters to me anyways I rather play it on the awesome Switch screen.

I actually think it looks great even in 720p, I just hope this doesn't mean its the same graphics docked or undocked (I can't see Nintendo going under 720p) and doesn't use the extra power.

Totally forgot Switch had an docked and undocked mode. Did developer specify which mode had 720 p resolution?

Please no delay then...

Let's hope there's no delay. I'm surprisingly excited about this game, looks like proper 3D Mario done right, I never actually liked the Galaxy games nearly as much as Mario 64.

If Pokemon Stars is real then along with Mario the Switch should easily have a better year Holiday season then any Holiday season the Wii U ever had.

Fixed.

Sounds good though hopefully the city map will be fun rather than filled with random stuff with nothing to do

There's been no official word so far, but Digital Foundry's analysis pegged Splatoon 2 as 720p in both modes, which is bizarre because the system is more than twice as fast when docked, so if the portable mode can hit 720p, the docked mode should be able to hit 1080p, or at the very least 900p.

They are probably wanting a lock 60 FPS and will take that at any cost or the final resolution could be done at the last minute.

To be fair, Mario 64 did revolutionize the platforming genre. While Galaxy simply pushed level design.

This seems to take Mario 64's sandbox style and Galaxy's level of creativity to create a game no one was expected.

I'm glad we are departing from the new Super Mario bros. series. 3 gens is enough- hopefully we only see it return in the form of Mario Maker 2.

Those are good news, hopefully no artificial delays happen (cough cough Donkey Kong cough cough).
