I know that.  What I meant was if you want to have a complete 2nd controller. You can either get the Pro conroller or JoyCons + charge grip.  For the option of playing games like ARMS you'd want the latter.

What's your point? You always need to buy a second controller for local multiplayer games. And Arms also works with the Pro Controller, so that point is moot.

Obviously you don't think having controller options at $70 and $80+$30 which have asymmetric use cases are an issue.

I mean sure, you can get Chinese shit that feels cheap and works like horse shit for 200 bucks, but remember, you are also getting shit games and a battery that will drop it's charge % to nothing in like 1-2 years, and that's assuming if your charging tip is still functioning by then and haven't snapped off already, or, you can get a Nintendo Switch with controllers that actually doesn't feel like cheap plastic, which is already confirmed by most hands on videos so far. The fair comparison is about the line of mmmmm...... do you want to buy a PS4 or a Wii U right now? I mean, go ahead and buy that 200 dollar shit Chinese tablet if you think that'd make your point stronger, which I highly doubt would be the case. I'm also willing to bet they'll come out with a dpad left joycon down the road, just watch.

Ah, so you predict more nickel and diming down the road? I guess we agree on something.

oh fuck dood absolutely, I'm already being nickel and fucking dimed, it sucks balls, I wish I wasn't so lazy when I'm home sometimes. They are not even the worst, check out the fucking MS store.

I find it interesting that people are so upset by this btw, considering that the Joy-Cons can be charged through the console itself. If you think that is a hassle you can always buy the Joy-con charge dock (I know I will) just like you puy a charge dock for PS4 or X1.
