Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Arms does not require motion controls to play! (Thank Goodness)

Is this Game more appealing to you now?

Yes 19 70.37%

No 8 29.63%

Total:27

So one thing I dont know if a lot of people have heard is that the upcoming Nintendo Switch game, Arms does not require motion controls to play so it can played with the Pro controler or in handheld mode, just wondering if that makes the game more appealing to you?

I knew. And it's a great thing to offer the more control possibilities to your customer. Very good decision on their part.

I'll use motion controls if they're as useful as in Splatoon case. The only problem is that Arms motion controls seem to be more tiresome than just tilting the Gamepad.

Yeah, actually though I was already thinking of getting it at some point

And, by the way, this game looks like it's going to be fun as hell. I wasn't convinced with the initial reveal, but with each gameplay, I'm more convinced.

I don't think there's going to be a whole lot of motion-only games to be honest.

Said games would not be playable in a lot of settings the Switch is supposed to function in like an airplane, car, bus, train (important for the Japanese and Euro markets especailly).

Of the 25 games shown by Nintendo and developers so far only 2 are motion only (8% and this number will likely drop as we see more games).

Played it and beczme annoying after 3 rounds...

Doesnt worth more than 15 euros, its à shame to sell this e shop game as à Big game

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Oh sure... you develop the game you have the right to put the price!
Reminds me of Splatoon being a eshop game at $20...

So you're saying we should pay 15 euros for it? Usually demos from treehouse, and E3 are free. Why do you think we should pay for a demo?

Nintendo should have made that more clear. They're so out of touch with just how many people hate motion.
