It's called Odyssey, which means epic journey (I'm sure you heard of the great Greek story). That's what the game wants to be. An epic journey going around various worlds where Mario can potentially freely roam. This game is produced by Koizumi, not only the producer of the Switch, but one who's been around the Mario franchise since Super Mario Kart and Mario 64 and is Miyamoto's protege. Their goal is bringing Mario back to the sandbox atmosphere of the likes of 64 and Sunshine.

Oh, I've heard of the book alright, I've even read The Iliad - I just haven't come around reading the Odyssey yet.

I know what the goal of the game is; it's rather apparent in the trailer and in the name, like you pointed out. Doesn't take away the fact that the humans look quite ugly, or that the game seem to have 2 different art directors; just compare how the city and forest parts of the trailer look and feel with that foodland footage of the same trailer; on the one hand the game is kinda grey and brown and on the other its bright and colorful. That's what I'm refering to.

So more art direction and such rather than concept huh? I'll admit having a real world and real people is unusual for Mario, though it's not as if his world has ever been less than unusual. Kinda like the Super Show per se. Though you never know, we'll see how further development the game will go through since it's not gonna be released till later in the year. Personally not gonna write it out as something interesting within the overall game.

Okay, watched it. I agree for the most part. Nintendo's online service is limited compared to XBox's and PlayStation's. That said, I hope this is reason for them to price the subscription cheaper than the other two.

They better or I'm not subscribing.

They have already said that the purpose of the subscription is to improve the online structure.

I will say this: Nintendo is my favorite gaming company overall. I grew up with them so I might be biased. With that said, I'm not touching their paid online with a ten foot pole.

WOO HOO!!. Can we throw a party now? Will you bring the cups?

I'll bring the cups, but only if I can cut them all in half first, to ensure that everybody's is always half empty at best...

But wouldn't that just mean a full smaller cup? I'm into you and your trickery.

Drills hole in the cup about halfway up so that some of the hope/joy can leak out. That's how you do it!

I bet it'll be a great game, Mario games usually are, but it just seems so odd that one game can look so different depending on which level/world you're in.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
