I mean, the whole time between the reveal to the presentation people were all stating how the reveal was perfect. NO KIDS!!!.... remember? #wehatekids and whatnot. But this reveal had a guy shaking a fake glass of ice water, a Splatoon guy throwing a dap, 1-2 Switch was a thing..... like a 5 minute, let's really push this thing. And there was fake shaving and blah blah blah motion control stuff that always sucks when being shown something you really need to experience to get. So did this take that initial marketing down a notch?

Not just, since it was already a day or two ago, and it did nothing different than usual.

So if the rest of the Switch events were more like the presentation than the reveal it'd be cool with you?

I dont think it will matter at all.
The price, the games, the Subscription thing, And the Switch itself is what is getting talked about.

Not soooo much as those people in the trailer and presentation. I even think that poor translator is getting more spotlight than those people.

At least by people on YouTube like Shok, Boogie, Reviewtech, bad marketing of the presentation has gained some attention.

I doubt the general public even knew the Switch existed before last week's presentation. And most of them probably don't even know today.

I think people put way too much stock into internet percpetion vs. actual perception.

The Wii is a great example; got plenty of hate on the internet for its casual appeal and glut of shovelware but most people who bought it IRL enjoyed it...at least for a time.

Moral of the story, don't pay attention to what people say on the internet.

Lol no, some of you are living in a bubble.

What people is gonna see is the trailers and the marketing, those are great so far.

I feel like that they didn't change the way they presented their new console and games and that's one of the issues I had with the event.

For the general public sure. But what about gamers interested in the switch, I mean if they seen the reveal they probably watched the presentation. That's more who I'm referring to.

The most vocal complaints I've been hearing were about the price.
Strangely enough, I ran into a few friends who'd buy the Joy-Cons (even if they weren't going to buy the Switch), just to see how good they feel.

I then proceeded to move to another topic entirely, because I didn't want to hear why.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
