not being a truly home console? 23 5.76%

not being a truly handheld console? 3 0.75%

the battery life? 14 3.51%

the graphic department? 24 6.02%

nintendo not following the 2 others path? 6 1.50%

not enough games? 73 18.30%

all of the above? 96 24.06%

just because? 27 6.77%

Total:399

I'm nervous of battery life.
The price, though I paid, could always be cheaper. (Your doing something wrong if you don't always complain about price)
Launch games. I don't have the time to game as I used to, so it's fine for me, but I could see those that do wanting more. As long as they are consistent on their release schedule it should be good though.

Everything... except from the concept.

This is what the xbox portable thingy should have been. But with a more tablet/surface like interface when portable.

I have nothing against the Switch. The premise seems innovative enough to attract many, but I just don't see the games I'm interested in.

Nintendo is selling you mediocre hardware and selling it at a premium. Take the ram for example, you could double the amount of rams and this would boost performance, load time and game quality but Nintendo goes with the strict minimum in order to save $10 on the cost.

This is the new problem after the latest announcement, But what the hell is with the price of the Joy con & pro controller. They are already selling the Switch at the high end of what it should cost and they won't to screw us on the extra controllers.

1-2 switch look like a stupid gimmick game..... It should come bundle with the Switch especially at $299.

Battery life is good if it's 6 hours but sucks if it turns out its only 2.5 hours. Internal storage is still only 32gb.... in the new digital era that's not enough for a consoles. Especially if you don't want to carry cartridge on the go.

But all that aside the real problem will be games. Other developers aren't interested in Nintendo hardware anymore. Nintendo make great game but they cater to all age and most of their game won't appeal to me. The Nintendo switch will suffer long drought in game software and lack of diversity.

Switch is the most advanced portable gaming device, how is it mediocre hardware? Being on par or close to PS4/XBO performance at a similar price is physically impossible. Its CPU/GPU/RAM seems to be pretty balanced for what the device is. 8GB RAM just seems like it would be overkill.

Maybe because of this, they are selling the Switch at a high profit, because in the long run they know they wont get royalties from software since it wont get many games developed for it as the competition... So they would still get their gain with or without selling software... If this is the reason of the premium price, then its mediocre thinking from their part.

Really? overkill? For sure the Switch is a much better consoles with only 4GB RAM(Sacarsm)... just look at the WiiU how it benefited from having only 2GB RAM. Nintendo is a corporation that want to maximized profit and less RAM is not a consummer friendly or developer friendly decisions. Less ram result is lower game performance/graphic and greater challenge for the developer to make game run on the Switch.

If your a developer more CPU/GPU/RAM is always better. There a reason developers don't like making games on Nintendo hardware. The lack of power and rams make it much harder to port game to the system. Nintendo Switch is getting over 5 year old version of Skyrim and the title is not even available at launch. Why? because it's more challanging to port to Nintendo consoles.

These decisions by Nintendo is part of the reason why they have hard time attracting third party to make or port games to their consoles.

I guess we should be happy rumors were Nintendo was planning on going with only 2gb ram again.

They are trying to reach the same sucess they had with the Wii. That system was so underpowered and cheap to produce they made Billions during the Wii life cycles that was on hardware alone. They want to sell you on Innovation rather then performance and what's under the hood.  I'm not saying I won't get a Switch, I'm just going to wait to see how it does and for a price drop or a bundle.

you are taking what i said out of context. its about having balanced hardware. You could put 16gb of RAM in the thing and it wouldnt matter because the CPU/GPU and other things would be a huge bottleneck.

8gb RAM would be overkill in relation to the other hardware components.

We are on the same boat Bruh. A $300 budle with a game and maybe another control will do for me. Meanwhile Ill keep feeding the fires of nerdrage in most threads about the Switch, lol.
