Ok, lets get this "down in paper"...

Those of us who are ranting about the switch... can we specify what is the real problem?

For me is not about the game library (which looks promising in the First Party department and OK in the Third Party department). For me is the price of the console itself and the peripherals. I can not stress this enough: Too pricey!.

This thread is not intended to argue about if itll be successful or not, but about what is the reason for you to rant.

For me it's the absolutely atrocious battery life. When you market a device with a handheld and play wherever you want functionality and tell me with a straight face the battery could last as much as 2.5 hours I just stop caring.

I just don't think it's developer friendly. For one they have to make sure their game works both docked, and undocked.

You do realize that 2.5 hours is the bare minimum, making it the literal opposite of the "as much as 2.5 hours" that you're suggesting? It can last up to 6.5 hours, which is exactly the same as the 3DS's battery life. Better, actually, since the 3DS range was up to 5 hours.

Zelda already lasts only three hours confirmed by Nintendo; games like Zelda are the ones I'm mostly interested (like many other people) in playing so...

Sure, I guess Picross Switch Version will last 9 hours even, but that's not what anyone's going over crazy for a Switch.

Switch price is too high overall. Since its the launch and a new hot item, they can justify it. Especially if the number of systems available won't cover the demand, which is quite likely early on.

Odds are good that's only until black friday. I can see around a 20% reduction in most prices of the hardware by holiday 2017 if NiN is smart and doesn't want another Wii U on their hands/books.
