This thread ia strange, has a lot of random users in it.

As for Microsoft has pc, many people buy Microsoft pc's, or just Microsoft's hardware?

Welcome to the internet.

No one really cares about xbox exclusives though.

I always find this argument funny. How much software has XB1 sold in total compared to Wiiu? If it's more, then a few games selling well on wiiu clearly aren't enough. As for BO3 being its most successful, Halo 5 shipped 5m in its first 3 months, so these numbers aren't accurate (which is still besides the point).

Well... I only give one example, But if you want another; Pokemon Sun and Moon sold 7.2 million copies in ONE WEEK.

Besides I stated they might not be accurate and say otherwise if so, I only used the charts from this website.

You made a comparison betwee xb1 with wiiu sales in the post I replied to. Please stick to the topic instead of moving goal posts. In other words, what does 3ds have to do with this? And again, this is an isolated case. I'm talking about LTD software sales of every single game released on those two home consoles.

Microsoft has performed the weakest this generation out of the big 3. Sony with a combined sales total of PS4 consoles and PS Vitas is at 63.7 million this gen and Nintendo with a combined sales total of Wii U consoles 3DS's is at 75 million. Microsoft with only one platform to back it up if one fails has been struggling compare to Sony and Nintendo at only 25.5 million Xbox one consoles sold.

So what do you think? Is Xbox the one who is really in trouble here? Will Scorpio be able to save it and if not, what?

NOTE: Numbers used are post december since PS4 sales are the only ones we've gotten. PS4 console + Vita numbers using the lastetst figures is at 68 million. 63.7 million was used to keep it a more fair comparison as Xbox and Nintendo numbers are a month behind.

EDIT: Even if you just consider the best selling hardware of each Company with the PS4 at 49 million and 3DS at 61 million, Microsoft needs to pick its self up because at 25.5 million its going to get left behind by next generation.

I worry wbout Nintendo because I dont want to live in a world without Nintendo. I can live in a world without Xbox.

I have one because I tuoght many big games will be Xbone exclusives, but they were not. Like layers of fear.

Sony and Nintendo should be the only console makers, since the Xbox first party games are not that great as Sony's or Nintendo's.

The main issue is MS can't sell in Japan. They have cancelled a lot of exclusives this gen. Everything is avail on PC giving less incentive to buy a XBO.

Japan is less of an issue than Europe. The European market is almost as large or even larger than the American market but MS can't seem to shake off Sony there, not even the 360 could do it.

I mean...last gen Nintendo saw the largest hardware sales collapse gaming has ever seen and they're more or less abandoning the home console market with the Switch. So...

I don't you'll see Nintendo stop selling games anytime soon, but their focus will likely continue to shift to mobile in the coming years.

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Each is a piece of deciated gaming hardware that is of equal profit to the company, This about there hardware sales and handheld console is still a console, likewise how the Switch is a handheld console with the bonus of hooking up to a TV. Both 3DS and Wii U get the same IPs and even the same games across both. Yoshi's wooly world, Smash Brother's and Super mario maker are available across the platforms. If by just because it has a different form factor or is a diiferent system shouldn't anything overwise you shouldn't be able to compare the Switch with PS4 or Xbox one. Each platform counts as their install base, especially since one of their most popular franchies (Pokemon) is generally handheld only.

Handheld is a different market entirely, so no, its WiiU which sold significantly less than the other 2.
Anyway, XboxOne is doing terrible compared to the 360. So I guess, you know, they are not doing much better either.

Are we talking about consoles? MS definitely preformed better than Nintendo.

And the problem with your argument that everyone is pointing out but you chose to ignore is that if you accept the logic you are pointing out for why handhelds are included, you'd have to include many PCs bought for gaming purposes that profit Microsoft. Just as ridiculous as counting those PC sales would be in a console debate, so is counting handhelds.
