Hey look somebody who understands why Im getting a Switch.

Around the Network

Honestly, I'm probably still going to buy a Switch. Just a bit later than I was originally planning.

Yeah but the PS4 has Sony games so what is your point?

The 3DS launched at 250$ and even that was overpriced to many hence why they doped the price very early.
If this is a handheld and console hybrid why is it priced like a current gen console? Thats the main issue for many people.

Exactly. The reason I'm buying the Switch is mainly because of Nintendo's flagship games. What I miss though is that some amazing games from the likes of Konami and Capcom used to be part of that lineup. They don't seem to have those kinds of developers behind them nowadays. Will still buy it day one though :).

So should they raise the price to cost as much as a console and handheld??

So you bought a 3DS and Wii U at the same time?

I will still buy a Switch eventually, but it isn't like Ninty is making things easier on me with their innovative pricing and services.

Switch is a handheld and a console so really the price is good value. To get a similar experience with Playstation you would have to purchase a PS4 and a Vita which racks up to being more money. I will say that the Switch peripherals are extortionate though.

If it wasn't for Nintendo games many of us wouldn't be considering Nintendo products at all. Often the hardware is weak and with a hugely inflated price and minimal third party support. Nintendo games is the only reason really to consider Nintendo hardware but that's the point. It's a lot of investment in hardware for the few games available. It shows the power of Nintendo games that people still consider buying such hardware.

If every game was multiformat I doubt Nintendo would sell a single console.

I'm considering getting a Switch later in the year and yet only Mario Odyssey interests me.

I bought both at launch like a fool, easily £600 plus. So £279 for a Switch is very reasonable to me.
