Patcher never predicted 5 million by March, this was another analist.

Patcher prediction for Switch first year (2017, not March 2018) was 7 million (with a window of 6 to 8 million error). While was still off, his prediction wasn't that different from most prediction on Chartz, GAF, ecc

Not quite a quarterly update, but:

Switch has sold-through 10 million units worldwide in 9 months. That puts it a few weeks behind the PS4, for perspective. I also think that beats Rol's own prediction for the 2017.

More like five or so days according to aligned data people are highlighting, I had a first year (12 months) prediction of around 12m, it's safe to assume that will handily be beaten at this point with 10m in 9 months.

Have sold 10mil (almost as fast as PS4) without any official price cut.....
