I'd say Sony comfortably holds the lead. Selling a $400 peripheral that isn't going to be properly supported with games is really greedy.

Was this mentioned before? I didn't read the responses in this long thread.

Sounds a lot like the Wii U tough

sony with psplus and ms with live they were the first to grab money from consumers without being ashamed

MS was the first. Then Sony joined in. And now Nintendo. None of them seem to feel ashamed. Which one is the worst, considering they all do it now?

Its ms even sony and nintendo joined to grab money from our pockets without giving any service

> free games every month

> online services, matchmaking, dedicated servers etc

> higher discounts on games as part of the subscription
> all for sub $45 if you shop around

Without giving service? right, the only company that's vaugly true for at this moment is Nintendo.

Games the games they give are either old or are in manys collection and you dont own them they loan it to you

And the other services are not that great and not worth the money they have to be free and not behind a paywall

Games bought at a discount from the store are kept even when your subscription ends, for ps4/xbo
Games obtained through ps+/gwg can be played as long as you want, so long as your subscriptions active, for ps4/xbo
Dedicated servers, cloud storage, sharing and uploading screenshots and gameplay, as well as maintanence for infrastructure for PS4/XBO is expensive to run, and adds significant value to the systems as a whole, and thus players that want to take advantage of those services do so under a subscription model.

PS4/XBO owners get way, way more for their money than Nintendo owners will be getting, they don't even need to download a game during the month it is up on the storage, they can simply add it to their library and download it and play whenever they want, as long as their subscriptions active, Nintendo players on the other hand, get timed access to extremely old games, then have to pay to keep playing once the month changes and the free-access game changes, you cannot build up a library of games to play whenever you wish.

And there in lies your issue, you are trying to downplay by insisting that all three services are not worth the money, but in reality, for many xbox and playstation gamers, xbl and ps+ respresent significant value for money, and allow them to build up a sizable library of playable games, where as the same cannot be said for Nintendo.

And that's before you factor in the cross platform nature of XBL/PS+, as those free games are offered across multiple systems (360/xbo, ps3/psp/vita/ps4).

At first i wanted to go for the most obvious. Valve.

But then i membered, consoles only.

Then i wanted to go for Microsoft. And i did. Then i pondered a litle more, asked myself who is most greedy in the industry. Mh.. gamers... the games community is the most greedy of them all.

Yes, it's basic maths, if your monthly subscription cost is less than the cost savings of items you purchase, then the outlay of the subscription both pays for itself and saves you money on your purchases.
I buy a lot of games, I pay $35 on average, per year for ps+ which works out at $2.91 per month, and for that $2.91 per month I get on average, roughly $25 discounted off of retail games.

Even if I was paying $5 per month for the service, i would still be getting $20 per month off of games, for a total saving of $140 per year, and that's before factoring in all the other services and monthly games added to my games library.
Factor in the savings to having monthly additions to my games library and that cost saving skyrockets - in 2016 alone, $1150 worth of games were added to my library to play whenever I want.

You however, will continue to refute the value of XBL/PS+ because you have an agenda to downplay the value and take the focus off of Nintendo's terrible subscription plan.
