Was Scalebound supposed to be a rpg? I had no idea! I think it was foolish of MS to approach PG and tell them to make a open world rpg. That isn't in their wheelhouse at all. As far as I know that is the only promised game in recent memory that didn't happen. But I could be wrong. I've been enjoying Lost Odyssey which MS offered for free to all XBL accounts last month. I can't recall the last time Sony did something like that without having to lose a class action lawsuit or getting hacked and having months of downtime.

And its a shame you would have to get EA Access on your PC. You could take it with you if you had a xbox. Thanks to Play Anywhere I've had more games available to me on PC for free. Xbox really is a all in one entertainment machine, but I'm glad to see they are also making sure that PC fans can enjoy their games as well.

Haha bringing up last gen Japanese games. On Playstation we get to enjoy all the current Gen Japanese titles.  case closed! Sony gave us what we wanted,  new and exciting Japanese titles.  They win and we win.

If you want in buy a playstation and enjoy the onslaught this spring!

No thanks I'm good. When I want a japanese fix I prefer the smooth gameplay of Nintendo over random anime titles.

But now? The switch is by far the most expensive piece of hardware there is. Yes it's also a handheld, but handhelds sold at more than 199$ always failed, and as a home console the Switch is 10 years behind.

So good luck selling that product at that price. It's going to be really difficult.

In inflation adjusted dollars the Switch is comparable to the Wii. In 2007 you'd be hard pressed to find a top-end gaming PC as powerful (all things considered) as the Switch, let alone home consoles. The best GPU's at the time had 1 GB of GDDR VRAM. Most GPU's only had 512 MB. And these were cards that cost $500. By the way, the PSP retailed at $250 when it first released (which is almost $300 today) and sold quite well. Not as well as the NDS, but still quite well. The same can be said for the 3DS (albeit with an immediate price drop.)

good gaming PC 1995/1996 = $2500 - $4000

good gaming PC 2000/2001 = $1800 - $3000

good gaming PC 2005/2006 = $1500 - $2500

good gaming PC 2010/2011 = $1200 - $2200

good gaming PC 2015/2016 = $800 - $1800

Take this, inflation!

Haha you were hyped for Scalebound.  And at no point did that look smooth.  Nice shifting of the goalposts.  And Nintendo don't factor into a Microsoft vs Sony debate.

I guess that's a compliment to Sony when you have to make it Microsoft + Nintendo vs Sony.  Microsoft never stood a chance on their own.

Well yeah I didn't know that Scalebound was a open world rpg. All I saw was the 2014 E3 trailer. And Nintendo doesn't factor into a MS/Sony debate yet you're bringing up PC for EA Access. So I believed you were the first one dragging goalposts.

I guess that's a compliment when you have to make it Sony + PC vs Microsoft. Sony always did need help.

Obviously its Nintendo, not just by the switch standard but historically. Sony and Microsoft are proberbly on-par altough sony did cross the line with the PSvita memory cards.

You also brought up pc so now we're at pc + Nintendo + Microsoft vs Sony + pc.  Sony wins again!

And not all of the japanese games coming to ps4 this year are open world or even rpgs.  Hugely diverse range of games.  A bit like the Playstation line up. Diverse.  A massive victory for PlayStation over xbox.  Diversity is key.  So much more bang for your buck buying this console if you want a wide ranging selection.

There's a difference though. One is working with PC to bring Xbox games to it. You're using it as a defense to hide the fact that PS4 doesn't have EA Access or better mods.

Xbox mods are barely better then ps mods.  I'd rather a higher rated exclusive line up,  more exclusives and much more varied line up of actual games.  Ps4 wins.

Ps plus and it's 72 games a year beats EA access and xbox live.

Playstation beats xbox.  It's no wonder it's outselling it more then 2:1 WW.  The people have spoken!

The Console wars are alive and well I see.

I only consider it a war if it's close like last gen.  Ps4 is dominating so badly it ain't no war.
